While Gwyneth Paltrow is very strict about her low-carb gluten-free diet, she admitted that she does allow her kids, Apple and Moses to enjoy ONE cheat day throughout the week.
The It's All Good cookbook author is keen on teaching her children about all the right foods they should eat, but she understands that sometimes they need junk food.
Miz Paltrow said:
"I tried to start them off with all of the right foods, but as they got older, the lure of Oreos and cotton candy outweighed the lure of carrots with hummus. And that's all a part of childhood and I love Oreos too, so I completely understand. I try to make sure that what is on their plate at home is nutritious and tasty, and then I loosen way up on the reigns when we are out.
They love a brown rice stir-fry, but they also love their 'Coke of the week'. My daughter gravitates toward fresh fruit and raw nuts but will inhale a bag of hot Cheetos at the airport. It's all about balance."
Gwynnie went on to say that she has incorporated her kiddies in the kitchen ever since they were born, and has even taught them how to crack an egg, and do math with measuring cups as they cooked.
We're happy to hear that the Iron Man 3 actress understands that children sometimes need freedom with food — especially because they starve while they're on her strict diet.
Guess dessert is probably out of the question after meals.
