Angelina Jolie just opened an all-girls school in Afghanistan that was funded by her jewelry line, Style of Jolie, and we think this is magnificent!!
The Tourist actress' new school in located outside of Kabul, and according to Jolie, she stationed it there because of the high refugee population and because the area typically favors male education over female studies.
Miz Jolie said:
“Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need."
About 300 girls are already attending the school, and with Angelina's line expanding, she plans on giving 100 percent of the proceeds to her new foundation, The Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.
Excited about this wonderful feat, the starlet's collaborator and jewelry designer Robert Procop noted:
“We launched this collaborative collection with the intent that 100 percent of the profits will go to charity. The intention was to create something beautiful but more importantly to provide children an opportunity to have an education.”
And their plan has definitely flourished into what the duo wanted it to be!!
Congrats you two!
