This is heartbreaking.
NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos is one of the men who was murdered on Saturday in Brooklyn, and he sadly left behind his 13-year-old son Jaden Ramos.
Following the horrible shooting, Jaden posted a message to his Facebook, saying:
Oh noes!! This is horrible!!
A young woman in England was beyond excited to see One Direction perform last night — and who wouldn't be — but her magical evening was cut shockingly short!!
As she neared Newcastle's Metro Arena, probably humming What Makes You Beautiful, a truck HIT HER!
Ugh!! Poor girl!! She was sooo close to the concert venue, too!
Thankfully, the 16-year-old girl was looked over by doctors and quickly released from the hospital.
Law enforcement described the sad situation:
"…A 16-year-old girl had suffered minor injuries after being hit by a [truck] in Dunn Street near the Metro Arena. She was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been released. Officers are carrying out enquiries in order to establish what happened. There was an ambulance called from a member of public outside of the arena. The truck wasn’t anything to do with the venue."
1D is evidently eager to disassociate their brand from the unfortunate incident — the band's rep said:
"the vehicle was not a 1D tour vehicle and this happened off site from the venue. There is no comment from band available."
Aww!! Hopefully they'll send her a front row ticket to another show!!
Get well soon, gurl!!
