Khloe Kardashian: 'I Don't Have Infertility Issues, My Hormones Are Just Being Wacky!'

khloe kardashian covers june issue of redbook(1)

Khloe Kardashian has been trying to have a baybay since she married her hubby, Lamar Odom back in 2009, but after time passed, she realized that getting preggers wasn't gonna be easy… however, she wants everyone to know that she's NOT infertile!

The reality star just admitted that in order to become pregnant, she would have to take hormones, and considering that she has a very busy schedule, she revealed that her on-the-go lifestyle has kept her from receiving proper hormonal treatments.

In the June issue of REDBOOK, Miz Kardashian said:

"I was 26 when that started, and I admit, I didn’t know a lot about my body. It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids, and Kourtney got pregnant quickly. People assume I’m desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I’m 28, and I’ve been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn’t feel incomplete right now.

It’s more about my hormones being off. I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor—you can do them yourself, but I couldn’t. And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I’m in Miami and miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It’s a commitment and I don’t mind doing it, but the timing was just off.”

While Khloe recognizes that her troubles with pregnancy have probably helped a lot of women, she did admit that she's tired of people asking her about the issue.

Hmm… we can totally see where Odom's wifey is coming from.

After all, she's been dealing with this for a while, and taking into mind that it's not a happy subject, talking about it is probably hurtful.

Stay strong, Khloe!

I completely admire and appreciate Khloe for coming out and explaining all this and showing her troubles with fertility. I was told by my doc that my hormone levels are off and if/when the time comes for me to get pregnant, it will be difficult and I may have to do special treatments in order to get pregnant.

So thank you Khloe for helping ladies like me hold our confidence!

Hate to break it to her, but all that she is describing are infertility issues. I guess she can call it whatever she wants though. I wish her the best, and I would get serious and stick to it regardless of travel. Otherwise you are spending money on drugs that are not only expensive, but not all that fun to take.

If you're having regular sex for a year with a fertile partner, and you don't get pregnant…you're infertile. End of story. The cause may be hormonal. But you're still infertile. It's not a judgment. I'm experiencing secondary infertility myself. It's just a medical condition.

sounds like she doesnt like the label; however, if the hormones are the reason she is not becoming pregnant; thats an INFERTILITY issue.

Hormone imbalance IS an infertility issue, and taking hormone shots is a type of infertility treatment.

I call bullsh*t on this. I went through hormone treatments to have a baby and did all the hormone injections myself. She could do that if she really, really wanted it to happen (have a baby). It's a lot of work, but worth it. She's probably too lazy or can't stomach poking herself with needles. Wah!
