Back when Prince William was born, the tradition was to post a note announcing the birth on the front gates of Buckingham Palace!
But times have changed, and William and Kate Middleton's child will be announced a bit differently- via Twitter!
According to Now Magazine, the news of the royal baby's birth will be posted immediately to the Clarence House website, which will automatically tweet the story!
"We haven't yet made any announcement about how we will announce the birth, but it will not be done exclusively on Twitter."
Hmm. Will the "method of announcement" announcement be on Twitter? Because we really don't want to miss that!
Either way, we're guessing it's going to end up on Twitter pretty darn quickly! And then the whole world can celebrate the fresh heir!
