Kate Middleton Wants To Be Hypnotized During Birth?!

kate middleton reportedly looking in to hypotherapy for birth plan

With the royal baby's arrival JUST around the corner, Kate Middleton is doing everything she can to prepare for her big day!

But apparently she has one MAJOR concern that most women in her position face: The pain!!

Kate reportedly wants to have a natural birth, and she's so worried about the pain that she's been reading up on alternatives to relieve her stress, and one source says she may have found it:

"Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so hypno-birthing is one option that appealed and she had been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind."

Hypnobirthing??? We're going to go out on a limb and say Kate will probably be the first in the royal family to try this method out!

But for as crazy as it sounds, multiple sources are also saying she's considering the wacky method for her birth plan, after hearing about it through some friends:

"Some of her friends have used this method and swear by it. Kate wants to do it her way and be relaxed."

For as much as we would love to visualize Prince William swaying a pocket watch in front of her face, hypnobirthing is supposedly more of a practice in meditation to help take your mind off of the pain!

Kate wouldn't be the first to try this method, as Jessica Alba swore by it when she gave birth to her first daughter, Honor Marie!

It still sounds a bit odd that Kate would try something so strange, but who knows? We guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Hypno Birthing has nothing to do with hypnotizing

That's the best photo/headline match I've seen in awhile. Hahaha.

I think she will be just fine giving birth to her baby. Stop telling people such crap!

I'm doing hypnobirthing. It's not "wacky" at all!! And it's just deep meditation, you're practically asleep while going through contractions and pushing. It's very peaceful and your body recovers much faster! I'm so happy to see Kate looking into such a beautiful way to welcome her child into the world

She looks like she could be Celine Dion's sister in that photo. :-)

did hypnobirthng with both babies - its not wacky at all… then again, i was never really able to disconnect the mind from the body. regardless its a method and a great one to learn in preparation for a natural birth. MORE births should be au naturale and you should help promote it instead of calling it wacky…

if you know nothing about what she is talking about. do your fucking research first. jackass

I practiced hypnobirthing when I gave birth to my son, and I have to be honest it seems kind of ignorant to call it "wacky." Just because someone doesn't automatically turn to drugs for pain relief doesn't make them weird.

I did hypnobirthing 3 times and it was fabulous. The recovery was so fast and I felt fabulous immediately after birth.and it's not hypnotizing but more intense meditation and relaxation like Perez said. Go Duchess Catherine!

Come on Kate you can do it. One thing about natural birth you forget the pain the minute you hold your baby!

    Feel better and good luck!

I just have to add to these comments here… HYPNO-BIRTHING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HYPNOTIZING! It's about visualization and breathing techniques! And man, does it ever work - especially with a waterbirth (is that gonna get a bad rap on this site now too?)

Do yer research before being ever so judgmental, sir!

Hypnobirthing, self meditation. I practiced during 2 of my births. Not wacky at all! Again, ridiculous headline, lame story. Come on.

ugh you're such a moron Perez. It's not wacky, it's a way of dealing with the "pain" of birth. Research things first, honestly people like you are so trashy

one more data point: i also used hypnobirth or hypbirth. the name gives it a bad rep, but it's just a relaxation technique. as a biologist, i'm not into "alternative medicines" or quackery. and if you know anything about hypnobirth, you'd know (as so many women have already said), it has nothing to do with hynotizing and is not b.s. quackery. worked really well with the birth of my son and i'd definitely use it again.
