POLL: Mother Of Boy Who Fell Into Gorilla Exhibit Defends Her Parenting -- But Is She To Blame For Harambe's Death?
We can't stop thinking about this story!
As you've probably heard by now, a gorilla named Harambe was killed on Saturday after a 3-year-old boy fell into his exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo.
While animal experts have already stated that the zoo had no other choice since the child was in immediate danger, the mother at the center of the controversy is now sharing her side of the story!
Michelle Greggs has taken a lot of the blame for Harambe's tragic murder, but she decided to stick up for herself on Facebook over the weekend, saying:
"I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers today. What started off as a wonderful day turned into a scary one. For those of you that have seen the news or been on social media that was my son that fell in the gorilla exhibit at the zoo. God protected my child until the authorities were able to get him. My son is safe and was able to walk away with a concussion and a few scrapes...no broken bones or internal injuries. As a society we are quick to judge how a parent could take their eyes off of their child and if anyone knows me I keep a tight watch on my kids. Accidents happen but I am thankful that the right people were in the right place today. Thank you to everyone that helped me and my son today and most importantly God for being the awsome [sic] God that He is."
That doesn't make any sense. We get that it was a mistake, but she definitely WASN'T watching her kid when this happened!
Also, not even a single word honoring the animal that lost its life. No wonder she deleted the post; the comments must have been brutal!
Do U think the #HarambeMom deserves to be vilified??
