kim zolciak denial smoking pregnant picture cease and desist lawsuit

She's calling shenanigans!

Incriminating photos just surfaced of Real Houswives star Kim Zolciak puff-puff-puffing on a cigarette!

It wouldn't have been much of an issue… except for the fact that SHE'S TOTALLY PREGNANT. She just made the announcement!!!

The world was appalled to watch the expectant mother fill her lungs with yucky carcinogens, but Kim swears that's not what happened at all!

She swears the photos released yesterday are actually much older, and she filed a cease and desist letter against the photo agency to try and get those nasty pics of the internet.

Not only does Kim want an apology, but she also considering suing for what she considers to be deceitful defamation!!

She thinks they purposefully confused the time frame of when the pictures were taken to try and drum up controversy.

What do you think, perezilicious readers, does her Eggo look preggo to you?

Ask any doctor … you can't stop smoking while pregnant or the baby will have withdrawals as well. ANY doctor will say "cut down but do not stop".

If they are old pictures, she is still pregnant in them. She is clearly smoking while pregnant.

The whole world was appalled ?

    Perez… nobody knows her.

Re: Alicia – the people defending her smoking saying " stopping smoking cold turkey will harm the baby, they have to slowly cut down" are forgetting the fact that IS STILL VERY IRRESPONSIBLE & UNEXCUSEABLE. People should take responsibilty when planning a baby and do the leg work before they safely conceive. This is creating someones life! Not getting a tattoo or getting married. Any couple considering expanding their family is responsible to do what is necessary for a healthy pregnancy. If someone can't quit smoking, THEN MAYBE THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE A BABY. and people arguing "what if its accidental" everytime someone chooses to have sex knows there is a chance of conceiving. irresponsibly having sex is NO EXCUSE!!!!! don't want to have baby while unhealthy? then be a big girl and refrain from sex until its meaningful and quit HO'ing around and having unsafe sex. NO EXCUSES!!!!!

Alicia, I respectfully disagree with your statement. As soon as you give up your cigarettes, your baby will start getting more oxygen, and the risk of miscarriage, premature birth, and other complications will drop. There's no evidence that babies go through nicotine withdrawal, and they certainly won't miss a daily dose of tar and carbon monoxide. Continuing to smoke, knowing all we know these days about its effects, is the most selfish thing a mother-to-be can do. Maybe our parents did it, but does that make it right?? I say all this as the mother of 3, so I have been there and gone through the 9 hard months of no booze, limited caffeine, etc.

She's clearly pregnant/smoking no matter when the pictures were taken. I also saw pics of her at the beach a few weeks ago again pregnant and smoking away while her husbund showed not a care about it. Trashy/tacky.

Kim does not do drugs she is a happy mother of soon to be 5 kids… I think the photos are old

This is why I refuse to watch her stupid reality show. Only reason she's knocked up is to keep her show interesting….and to buy more cigarettes.

Re: blasting22 – Oh, are you a doctor? What would be inexcusable is ignoring a DOCTOR'S recommendation. Are you a smoker? Doesn't look like it, so you should shut up cause you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Quitting cigarettes is worse than quitting meth, it would put the baby at SO MUCH more risk. Be quiet and preach your ignorance elsewhere.

Re: Kenz – But did you have to give up cigarettes? Irrelevant. You wouldn't know how hard it would be on your body and the baby. If all doctors are recommending you do NOT quit cold turkey, I think they know what they are talking about as opposed to a mother who thinks she's better than everybody because she was never a smoker. Get over yourself and do some research.

MKTB- I was smoking 4 days before I found out I was pregnant. So, I "may" know what I am talking about. I found out I was pregnant and stopped. I also like to drink but tabled that. It sucks BIG TIME, and I don't think I am holier than though for doing so, but I knew I just had to. Please post a link to a legit medical source saying it's better not to quit smoking when you are pregnant. I can post numerous links supporting the contrary.

Re: Alicia – WTF! So following your thinking, don't quit while pregnant because the fetus will have withdrawals….are you going to light the baby up a cig after its born ? Or will you let the baby struggle through nicotine withdrawals after birth? Its much easier for the baby to suffer through withdrawals while still in utero, the same as with any drug or alcohol. Did you even think through what you posted? I quit smoking (2packs a day) the day I found out I was pregnant…now 25 yrs later I still am smoke free.my kids are more important to me than cigarettes.

I work in the drug and alcohol field. You can stop smoking while you're pregnant. There is no such thing as withdrawal from nicotine. BUT there is such a thing as opiate withdrawal during pregnancy and that's when you do not want to stop cold turkey because the baby will go into withdrawal.
In re: the pic. She looks pregnant but maybe the bump is from after she gave birth. I still look 5 months pregnant and I gave birth 5 months ago!!! Then again, why would she order a cease and desist.

Re: Kenz – I've had 6 different OBGYN'S. They all said the same thing, but they MUST be wrong though. Good for you if you quit smoking while you were pregnant and nothing happened to your baby. But that still doesn't make you better than any other mother who decided not to take a chance and not quit. Not sorry.

Re: Kenz – And I do not care about online information. I listen to my doctor and that's that. I don't follow instructions from the internet throughout pregnancy. I don't smoke but all my friends do and I'm defending them because you're trying to make it sound as if doctor's don't know what they're talking about. The arrogance.

She could have also just given birth and still had the 'mummy tummy' which most women have for at least a month after giving birth. Kim seems to really love her babies so I highly doubt she's smoking while pregnant.

I had my 1st child n 1970 when no one knew the smoking was bad news for a growing fetus. My daughter was almost 2 months premature and she weighted under 4 pounds and had a lung disease and vision issues. She was in pediatric ICU for a month and was expected to die. I almost lost my sweet child! Kim is an assh*** for gambling with the life/health of her baby. Life is tough enough without a selfish Momma making the odds worse. NO RESPECT for her and her lack of regard for her unborn child and the children she already has. And Kroy is a WUSS! Shame on them both!

Re: Babynurse – Yes - I did think about what I was posting as I was a smoker when my first child was conceived. My doctors told me not to stop but to cut back. I listened. I'm also a health professional myself. I am NOT an OB/GYN admittedly. I'm not here to fight. I'm here to comment since this is comment section and not the "fight club".

  22. 22

While I understand people are saying that you cannot quit "cold turkey", Kim looks like she's in her last trimester in these photos. 6 months is surely enough time to quit. Plus, if she smokes in public, she definitely has smoked quite a lot at home.

To be quite honest the photo is a little blurry and she could be one of those people that have a big belly. I mean I know a lot of women who have a big belly like that and weren't pregnant , my mother was one of those. And who knows , maybe the photo IS old. It's still wrong to smoke while you're pregnant (if she's pregnant in that photo)

I have 3 children. I was smoking when I found out I was pregnant with two of them. The morning that pregnancy test showed a positive line was the morning I quit smoking cold Turkey. I didn't touch another one the whole pregnancy. Both my babys were full term healthy babys . I don't agree that you will hurt the baby if you quit smoking. After I had my seconed baby I never started back so I didn't have to worry about that when I got pregnant a third time. Smoking is stupid I have been quit for 6 years and feel so stupid for ever starting!!! I feel so much better now that I don't smoke. It was hard quitting but its possible. Never thhink that you can't quit! In my opinion its easier to quit smoking thanto lose weight!!!

I'm not a doctor, but I am a nurse. There is absolutely NO reason to continue smoking while pregnant. There is NO fetal risk in smoking cessation, but there ARE many risks in continuing to smoke during pregnancy. It certainly isn't worse for the fetus than Meth, or any other illegal (or even many prescription) drugs. If there were such a risk, a doctor would have the much healthier option of titrating nicotine doses down in small increments via a nicotine replacement product. If you are pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant: DO NOT SMOKE, it is very unhealthy for your baby. Want proof - read the side of the cigarette box! If Kim is smoking, she should be very ashamed; she's a nurse too!

Re: michelle – I also quit smoking the day I found out I was pregnant with my first son. I put them down the second I knew, and I had a full-term healthy son. Quitting smoking is very difficult, but doing it out of love for your unborn child is the EASIEST motivating factor I know. Michelle, I'm sure you also limited (or omitted) caffeine intake, as well as over the counter medicine, and any and all prescriptions that weren't essential and doctor approved. I did as well, and so has EVERY loving mother-to-be who cares more for her child than she does about her own wants and needs.

The following is a link directly from The Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Their recommendations for quitting smoking are clear and concise, and would supersede a FLEET of Docs (quacks) who might jeopardize their medical license by erroneously purporting that it is harmful to the fetus to quit smoking. I would never call anyone a liar, but I find it VERY hard to believe that ANY doctor would recommend smoking during pregnancy, let alone six of them. PLEASE read the article published by the CDC regarding the risks in smoking while pregnant!
