If you're a breastfeeding mother, you should never be ashamed or bullied into leaving anywhere because you're feeding your child. It's your right, and it's not vulgar. If you feel comfortable doing it in public, that's all that should matter!
People kicking out breastfeeding mothers from establishments DOES happen, but this is NOT one of those cases — even though everyone thought it was!
At Grampy's pizza, a breastfeeding mother was approached and asked if she would be comfortable somewhere more private, with no offense intended. It was honestly just an offer in case she didn't feel right about where she was!
Through the grapevine of social media (of course!) after telling friends about it, and people telling other people, it became a story about how she was asked to leave! As a new business, it's been detrimental!
So the owner stepped up, clarified AND apologized, and then began offering free pizza for breastfeeders, moms, and kids, between 5:30 - 6:30 this past Thursday! Mothers SHOWED UP IN DROVES to take part!
In that hour, cooks made 30 pizzas — each with an apology!
Check out the great coverage on it (above)! It's worth it!
