He's way too young for tofu! cute expressions though.

  2. liz says – reply to this

omg so cute! i love how he keeps spitting it out!

  3. ingttyt says – reply to this

Perez- I thought tofu/eggs/meat was more like at 8 months+ because it can be hard on their tummies? Are you a little early?

  4. paula capodistrias says – reply to this

You shouldn't feed solid food to a baby until he is 6 months and you should definitely keep him away from tofu, it's associated to too many hormonal and allergy problems. Cute baby, though! ;)

  5. Jessica says – reply to this

I love your cuban accent. I taught my son spanish first too :)

  6. Sheila says – reply to this

PLEASE! Perhaps they do this in Cuba, but in the US we give them baby food so their little tummies can adjust. He is too young for solid food - don't you know this? Don't you have a pediatrician? Stop treating him like a toy and learn to having a baby in your life. After all, this is what you wanted, right????

  7. ast says – reply to this

You should read up on soy and phytoestrogen and you might change your mind about how healthy tofu is.

  8. marlowe says – reply to this

This I hope is a joke. He's way too young for this type of food and could choke on it. Tofu is crap too, full of hormones. Start with rice cereal mixed with warm milk and put the spoon in his mouth.

  9. karla says – reply to this

Que bello esta tu bebe Perez!! Cuidalo muchooooo

  10. 10

You definitely could have smooshed it with your fingers before feeding it but you wouldn't have the cute rabbit teeth video had you done that..

  11. sonny says – reply to this

Giving a boy tofu is anythîng but healthy!!!! Tofu contains estrogen!!! You should never give a growing boy soy products. It inhibits testosterone production. #fatherfail!!!

  12. tony says – reply to this

This is America, speak English for Gods sake.

  13. Cali says – reply to this

    Cutest baby vid. Out there….

  14. Nurse Betty says – reply to this

Perez- do what you feel is right for you child, although I would not suggest tofu for a child your sons age, one feeding is not a horrible thing and maybe talk to you pediatrician to make an informed decision on tofu for you little one. As much as we all would like to be perfect parents who make a perfect decision in every single situation for our children, its impossible and I guarantee no person leaving comments today is not perfect and has learned thru trial and error at one point or another.. Age for feeding solids is not linear, there is a general timeline for age appropriateness, but its not set in stone.

  15. Kippy says – reply to this

Children should not be given soy products like tofu until way after adolescense because of the estrogen it contains. Doing so can send very young girls into early puberty and (duh) it's not at all good for young males either.

  16. Naressa says – reply to this

Awwwww too cute! I don't know about tofu, never researched it. But when you start them on solids its best to give them super mushy food to let their lil tummies adjust. As for the rice cereal and all that, I know youre trying to feed him healthy foods, not dried foods from a box. I would try oats mixed with puréed fruit. My son was a really picky eater but he did great on that

  17. Bobbi says – reply to this

Perez don't listen to the retards. But baby should be atleast 4 months before any solid foods… Check out baby-led weaning. It's a great book and teaches your baby to eat real food not that baby food crap

  18. erqe says – reply to this

you've really gotta stop pimping your baby - wait until he's old enough to express a desire to be in the public eye!

  19. 19

I know you're busy with all of your teenage celebrity bitching, but maybe you should read a book about raising a baby.

  20. 20

Smart baby! I wouldn't eat that crap either! lol

  21. LookatYou says – reply to this

I don't know why all these commenters are trying to teach Pervez anything about babies. He's a dumbass and just wants attention no matter how he gets it. The baby should be on mothers milk for at least a year to develop optimal immunity and healthy mental stability. He was so busy ripping this child from it's rented mothers womb, that he didn't care the consequences. Only time will tell how this child turns out and my bet is not too well.

  22. 22

he is a baby… no tofu. soy is bad bad bad bad

  23. Baba says – reply to this

Que gordis m'as bello! todo gordis hermoso, es un mini Perez !

  24. Vanessa says – reply to this

    leave Perez alone!
You do know that there are other cultures are perspectives out there besides American. Look up ethnocentrism or take a sociology class!

Your baby is lucky to have someone like you as a father!Re: Sheila

  25. Kelly says – reply to this

SO CUTE!!! and if he wanted any of your advice on what to feed his son and when he would have asked about it. leave it alone.

  26. Sheila says – reply to this

Poor little creature; poor little creature' poor little creature! You are beyond disgusting and is that Momma Perez laughing in the background? Unbelievable what you are subjecting little Mario to - I will pray that he bypasses the nutcases in your family and somehow grows up normal.

  27. 27

OMG! It'll be chips & hot salsa tomarrow, then 3 Big Macs & Super-Sized Fries….

  28. Jenelle says – reply to this

    Does he have Downs Syndrome?

  29. Mindy says – reply to this

Everyone else is right, he is too young for solid food. Im sure you love him immensely, this is a mistake alot of new parents make, getting excited to feed their children "real" food. Please wait until he is AT LEAST six months, and start with something softer and more benign. XO

  30. Toto says – reply to this

He is too young for tofu, moron. Don't you have a kids site where YOU give info about kids and babies?

  31. 31

Too much texture with tofu! Try a little mashed banana, carrots or peas. Home cooked is the best!

  32. UR a misinformed ass says – reply to this

Re: marlowe – You should do a little research first, even tho tofu contains some small amount of plant hormones, factory farmed meat is loaded with it as is milk that isn't rBGH free. It's ignorance like that which gets passed around unsubstantiated and turns people off from healthy foods. If you're going to be an idiot, try being an informed one. Maybe too many hormones from all that pork, chicken and beef.

  33. 33

SO CUTE!!!!! he's not too young for solid foods. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that you speak spanish to him and he'll grow up bi-lingual.

The first solid food i gave my son to get him used to a solid texture within his mouth was cooked rice grains, they were small enough yet solid enough. He was born in November.

  34. Default Setteen says – reply to this

You are going to choke him!!!!

  35. Default Setteen says – reply to this

Re: sonny – omigosh!!! He may be doing it intentionally!!!

  36. saradee says – reply to this

isn't this kid like 6 months old??? you don't feed a 6 month old solid food like that you complete and total idiot. if you're going to feed him tofu it should be pureed. a 6 month old does not have the ability to eat chunks of food like that. have fun when your kid chokes. it will be all your fault.

  37. Leslie says – reply to this

The little tike knows tofu is not good for his baby tummy. My daughter did the same thing when I fed her a banana when she was about 6 mos old. She spit it all over the place.

  38. Enilleh says – reply to this

Re: Jenelle – Come on, loser, stfu. Whats the point of saying that? He is SO cute <3 <3

  39. Cute baby says – reply to this

What a cute baby adorable but I would stick with baby foods . He doesn't seem to enjoy it funny faces.

  40. Cassandra says – reply to this

    Re: Cali – Asshat.

  41. kandycane says – reply to this

Perez…I hate you…I really do. But, u seem like a caring dad. Here's some honesty, going without meat hurt my hormones and bone and joint health. I know you want a healthy kid butkids need organic meat…protein.

  42. kandycane says – reply to this

Btw…tofu is AWFUL for a baby. Fire your pediatric because any idiot knows that babyfood in a jar

  43. kasey says – reply to this

um, thats one adorable baby but 1. a baby is meant to have no solids till over 6 mos, he doesnt look developed enough 2. tongue thrust is the body's sign that the baby isnt ready for solids, its literalyl rejecting the solids and 3. fruits and veg are first foods, not proteins. 4. tofu is a terrible GMO which functions as a phytoestrogen and is bad, particularly for little boys.

  44. kasey says – reply to this

Re: ast – They dont need "baby food" but they do need real produce after 6 mos, not fake soy crap.

  45. dpt says – reply to this

Soy is really not recommended for infants or children anymore, because it mimics estrogen in the body. There are lots of theories out there about what to eat and when, but soy/tofu is something I would definitely avoid.

  46. Erika meillon says – reply to this

Dale aunque sea gerber esta muy bebe para tofu, pero q bueno q le hablas en español eso me encanto, saludos desde México

  47. 47

Aunque sea dale gerber no seas culey tofu no es para bebés

  48. 48

f'ing idiot. You want to do him a favour make your own baby food but they can't just start eating tofu…SOY is not healthy. Healthy… Pffft. Read up buddy. Babies need proper nutrition. Read a book once in a while….FFFS your mother should slap you in the head.

  49. soy police says – reply to this

soy has been a dietary staple in many countries for more than 5000yrs for all age groups…either get educated or stop the fear mongering ppl

  50. Melleee says – reply to this

try bananas, we did avocado first and it was too ambitious, all kids love bananas!!

  51. WTF?! says – reply to this

How in the FUCK did this guy get a baby? Like what service in their right mind would sign off on Perez adopting or how ever the fuck he got this child?! Obv he's read nothing about babies and what to feed them and when..and from the general consensus on this comment page..most everyone seems in agreement…feeding the baby solid food like this is bad. And tofu is complete crap…where is DSS when u need em?!

  52. stupid fuks says – reply to this

Stfu i swear you stupid ass white people always bitching bout how to raise a child and writing books bout it! That's why your kids turn out to be psychoticd killers in other cultures they feed babies at 4 mnths and start them off slowly with other food varieties and im not talking bout a fuking hamburger..even in america since were all diverse the only people that start off with rice cereal is white people so stfu let perez be his own parent his kid looks really healthy advanced and taken care of and any parent will tell you if your kid is not acting like that then something is wrong and NEWSFLASH no parent has ever been perfect in any lifetime because they read a damn book

  53. Premie Mama says – reply to this

Wasn't he born premature? You actually want to wait even longer to feed a premie. It's recommended to wait 6 months from their original due date rather than six months from birth. Their little tummies just aren't as developed as a regular baby, and they often have more food sensitivities. Hope you are really monitoring him for any adverse reactions.

  54. christina says – reply to this

Please start with soft organic fruits…..soy is GMO, and its in formula…..GMO's increase food allergies…..please rasperries are better……

  55. Default Setteen says – reply to this

Re: stupid fuks – news flash, go back to school. And just 'what' culture do the natives feed their offspring tofu?

  56. Default Setteen says – reply to this

"In 1997, about 8% of all soybeans cultivated for the commercial market in the United States were genetically modified. In 2010, the figure was 93%.[60] As with other "Roundup Ready" crops, concern is expressed over damage to biodiversity.[61] A 2003 study[62] concluded the RR gene had been bred into so many different soybean cultivars, there had been little decline in genetic diversity, but "diversity was limited among elite lines from some companies".

  57. Default Setteen says – reply to this

These GMO's have triple helix DNA.
This is not natural to a human, or animals digestive system.
OTOH, Politicians will agree, it's for your own good.
    They are poisoning the poor
We all know it is poison, but Monsanto said it was up to OUR government to tell you this bad news.

  58. adorejunk says – reply to this

Smart kid. Dumb Dad.. Don't you know that most soy is GMO? Better to start him out on organic veggies, cooked and mushed up. Not fruit but veggies, carrots, sweet potatoes, etc. He will learn to love veggies that way.

  59. @v@ says – reply to this

Haha, I'd spit out tofu too. There are plenty of healthy foods that taste a lot better than tofu. Do some reading on soy products; there's new info and the concerned comments are correct.

  60. 60

OMG Mario, not only are you the most narcissistic pos on earth, you are a horrible father! Did you do ANY research on young children (besides drawing disgusting things on their faces) and what is appropriate for their digestive system? As a single gay father, I am appalled that anyone with a brain cell would give you a baby. Mario, you dress your baby in drag, feed him inappropriate food, use him as a prop. Someone needs to report this to social services before its too late for this poor baby. You are a hideous human being!

  61. 61

Poor baby, your dad is a dimwit!

  62. 62

my little nieceis only just starting solids now at 7ish months but he mum was breastfeeding as long as hes not eating cheetos

  63. 63

    and shes eating mashed pumpkin

  64. kayla says – reply to this

Re: Sheila – there is such a thing as "Baby Led Weaning" and it's where you feed your child, starting at 6 months, "real" food from the start. no purees or mush. google it and educate yourself. my daughter has been eating steamed vegetables, roasted chicken, avocados, banana, etc since a month ago and is doing wonderful.

  65. Mr. Perfect says – reply to this

  66. Mr. Perfect says – reply to this

Not Hard to hate Perezhilton.. but… live your own life, keep your opinions to yourself, your way of raising kids is NOT working out too well in my opinion. Your kids, "talk back and do not respect you" and yet you refuse to discipline them???? Real housewives of America…….. a classic double standard except these so-called 3rd word methods seem to work.

  68. Anita says – reply to this

There is nothng wrong in giving a baby tofu as long as they don't have an allergy to it. Every doctor I've talked to on this subject says that these "concerns" about hormone levels in soy products are pretty much unfounded. Tofu and soy products are used extensively throughout Asia, right? And Asians are the most populous race on Earth. I'm sure that there are millions of children that each soy products daily with no harmful effects.

  69. Helena says – reply to this

Re: marlowe – so true! sad that people still think tofu is healthy!

  70. Cynthia says – reply to this

Clearly no one on here has heard of baby led weaning… also you can start your baby on protein from 6 months, when they have their first foods, and lots of pediatrician recommend it because they need the iron!! You people really shouldn't be judging another parents choices on how to feed their own child, especially when you seem so ill informed!

  71. 71

Is it bad that when my parents got tofu for dinner like this baby i spit it out
    BTW- im 12

  72. gramma says – reply to this

Soy is a plant estrogen plus GMO mostly. Feed him that sparingly if at all. He sure is cute !

  73. rebecca says – reply to this

FYI, Super Baby Food by Ruth Yaron is an amazing book, it lets you know what age to introduce different foods how to prepare etc…its like the baby food bible..highly recommend…and children with two languages have higher test scores on standardized tests than mono-lingual children so keep up the Spanish and English combo…best of luck!

  74. Juan says – reply to this

Its awesome hearing you speak Spanish.

  75. Snow says – reply to this

No!! Don't give him tofu! It's an endocrine disruptor. Only fermented soy is safe.

  76. 76

I don't mean to be rude perez but tofu is not a good pick for first foods, you want to try vegetables first, not know allergens..

  77. SCIENCE please says – reply to this

    Re: Default Setteen
ROFL triple helix DNA? Go take a BASIC biology class.

And for all you crazies screaming about GMOs…there is zero proof that there's anything wrong with them. All the so called "studies" that are out there are poorly designed, ill controlled, and highly unreliable. And you do realize that plants mutate themselves through NATURAL processes, so just because scientists change a gene, doesn't mean that it's automatically harmful.

  78. 78

oh and when a baby spits it means he isn't ready, if you are doing baby led weaning you shouldn't be putting it in his mouth he should be old enough to put it in his own mouth on his own, you should never place a solid that size in a baby's mouth, he was spitting it out because he isn't ready. before 6 months baby rice only if you are putting it in his mouth, pureed veg after 6 months an proteins around 9 months, he's still getting all he needs from his formula for now.

  79. 79

Re: stupid fuks – I agree. Books are stupid. Sure. Maybe Mario could at least read the paragraph on not putting chunks of solid of food into a baby's mouth. And then a paragraph on what to do when your baby starts choking.

  80. zozo says – reply to this

Re: tony – America is the whole continent ! you racist!

  81. Alexa says – reply to this

I don't remember how old your little one is, but he is showing the tongue reflex that he is not ready to eat "adult food"… those pieces even look too big for him. Really would have thought he would be in the "know" of all things baby. They recommend to wait to at least 6 months to introduce any time of food… but typically it's baby cereal first. Please buy the book What to Expect The First Year… it has great advice!

  82. 82

You're an idiot and the kid you bought is ugly.

  83. Wehateperezjr says – reply to this

Lol what an ugly ass baby.

  84. Jana Amlung says – reply to this

Try some fruits and veggies mashed. That is also healthy and may be a slightly more pleasant experience for him. Bananas are a sure thing. My baby loves them!

  85. WhoopyPie says – reply to this

So when he wants a lot of comments he pimps and tortures the baby. Some parent he is.

  86. Toulieb says – reply to this

SOY IS BAD!!!!! It causes hormonal issues (like big breasts!) for little boys! Look into baby led weaning. baby should be at the very least 6months and at that point it's for fun and practice. Not nutrition. Baby needs to be on breastmilk (or bleh formula) until the age of 1. Breastmilk for as long as possible. Seriously. WHY on earth would you think tofu is ok?????

  87. betty says – reply to this

    Re: marlowe
i started my son on real food, never need cereal which is crap or baby food.

  88. Andrea says – reply to this

He is precious. Look into mashed avocado..its the perfect first food. :)

  89. 89

Tofu? Really? My pediatrician said to introduce foods one at a time. Veggies first and then the sweeter stuff like fruits. Tofu seems way too advanced.

  90. Aitch says – reply to this

Your son looks like a wee darling, definitely, and the Spanish is wonderful to hear, but putting food into a baby's mouth is a bit of a choke hazard. What about steaming some broccoli until really pretty soft and seeing if he can pick it up by himself? If he's 6 months or so, I bet he can, they're pretty amazing these babies. Congratulations!

Dale Yuca.Yame,batata..todo eso es muy bueno..Y los bebes le gustan

  93. jack says – reply to this

Know you are trying to feed him in a healthy way. Not tofu though. 98 percent of it
is genetically modified - and it turns out that tofu is NOT good for you for other reasons as well. I'm a vegan so I know it's hard to find healthy food. Best to stick with the fruits and veggies.

  94. RJ says – reply to this

It's a myth that tofu/soy is "full of estrogen" and therefore bad for males to consume. Soy consumption actually BALANCES estrogen levels, it doesn't inhibit normal testosterone production, so it's perfectly safe for men. That said, a baby that young shouldn't eat soy because it's hard to digest and they could have a bad reaction to it.

  95. 95

He is too young for that. Maybe if you mashed it to a pulp, but I still wouldn't.
Cute but a bad idea. Besides, when he does get around to eating it, it will give him bad gas.

Try putting fruit in a blender. Or avocado.

  96. 96

I cannot believe you people slamming perez about how he is giving his son a bit of food. has to be 6 months to eat solids? yeah i was told that too and looked down on when i gave some mashed banana to my 3 month old son.. so what don't slam people on how they raise their child, parenting never came with an instruction booklet on the do and dont's. hell how did our grandparents survive as kids without all the new baby crap that we have today.

  97. marythemerfairy says – reply to this

So Smart! Tofu tatses kinda funny!
I mixed applesauce and apricot babyfood with everything. Dey luves it!

  99. 99

This is way to cute :D loved it! I've never heard you talk in Spanish before, it surprised me actually. I thinks is great that you talk to him in both languages :) Keep up the good work y que Dios bendiga a tu bebe hermoso!

  100. caz says – reply to this

Gorgeous baby - but way too young for tofu!! Try mushed up banana or baby porridge - my little girl loved it!
