hugh jackman donate ten thousand dollars to childrens hospital in montreal

Hugh Jackman and his cast-mates have been busy north of the border as they film X-Men: Days Of Future Past in Montreal!

But when the cameras stopped rolling recently, the Australian actor wasn't quite ready to give up on his superhero duties!

Earlier this week, Hugh and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness decided to call up the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation after they had some issues with a donation they were trying to make.

Employee Kim Fraser explained the situation and said:

"She had tried to make the donation via her computer but the confirmation she got said that she had given $10 so she called us up. She wanted to make the donation on behalf of her, her husband, and the cast and crew of X-Men."

Awww! How nice is that!

But if they weren't trying to donate $10, how much were they trying to donate??

Well Deborra cleared things up and said they were actually trying to make a whopping $10,000 donation!!!

Wowzers!

The hospital says that Hugh and his wifey never had the chance to drop by personally after the generous gift, but they DID confirm that the payment went through!

Way to go, Wolverine!!

LMAO superhero? For donating $10000 *imagine Dr. Evil from "Austin Powers movies*. You must be joking! Bloody scrooge! How about a $100000? Now, that would actually get something for this kids. I only wish I could afford to give anything, sadly I can't. People like him wouldn't even notice hundred thousand missing from their fat bank account. The saddest thing is that he gets rich of these poor kids paying to watch his crappy movies.

Who knows what other charities he's done? His movies aren't' crappy but had provided employment and jobs for thousands. What have you contributed to society except posted troll kind of comments?

Re: Tri – You know, I will respond to this. I am a firm believer that charity starts at home. I live to make my family happy, give them roof over their heads, put the food on the table, give them good education. I made it my business to make sure that my children will enter the world of adulthood well prepared for it without a need to steal or kill to satisfy their needs. But I will be damned if I will sit and call "hero" people who do not deserve this title. To me a hero means entirely different thing. To me a fireman who saves a family from a burning building is a hero, a lifeguard on the beach is a hero, paramedic who will rush through a city to save a life is a hero, heck even an odd doctor may deserve this title on occasion (but that's more and more rare these days). Yes, the "little", under payed, overworked, living very simple lives every day people, who do not get free publicity for giving away their pocket change are real heroes. They come to you when you really need them, and most of the time you will never even know their names. So please, don't give me third degree about my contribution to this world because I am one of the people who will send out those unknown heroes to perhaps save your ass one day.

Re: Tri – Ugly for the sake of being ugly. Hugh and Deborra do amazing work ing the world from cancer research to adoption crusades to economic third world development. Learn something about this wonderful couple before you spout filth.

Re: Jamie – (I think you meant to respond to my comment not "Tri's") He and his fat wife can shove their 10K up their… If they want to do something they should treat people with respect. Ten thousand these days is a joke. Bloody, condescending asshole. He thinks that the rest of us think 10 thousand is a lot. Maybe it was, in 70's! We are not morons! As I said, he shows by doing this "donations" how little he either knows what most of people on Earth need to survive or he is simply mocking us!

As I wrote this story, might have been a classy thing to give some atribution, at least to The Gazette where this appeared. Word for word quote too.
