Ever since this teenager from California was rescued from her kidnapper in the Idaho wilderness - many people have wanted to know how Hannah Anderson is feeling and what's she thinking.

Well, that finally happened when the kidnapping survivor went on the Today show on Thursday to discuss her relationship with the kidnapper James DiMaggio who was killed by the FBI after a six day manhunt to find Hannah.

We cannot believe how strong Hannah is able to hold up despite the fact that she lost her mother and her little brother - it's pretty remarkable especially when one remembers she's sixteen years old.

It seems like she's started the healing process, and we hope she can continue to do so.

Hannah credits her mother for her poise, saying:

"She was strong hearted, and very tough."

It's obvious those qualities have rubbed off on to Hannah as well.

Am I the only person who finds it weird she wrote letters to the guy who kidnapped her … i have had tons of older friends when I was younger but none that were innocent would have involved me writing letters to a man that much older than me… i mean wtf and the police won't address what was in the photos even more suspicious… weird sometimes it is better to tell the world about it then plant little seeds like that b/c where before I felt sorry for her now I feel there is much more to the story than a girl who was kidnapped and family killed

Yea I'm not buying her little story, and neither is anyone else. It's about time she's shown some emotion though, even though I'm not buying that either.

I am not buying this girls story either. There is no way in hell I could be that calm during an interview on national tv. That being said I know people react differently. If she wanted to thank people she would have done that so many more times. He was her hero at some point is what I am thinking and she had a part in this. Someone has to know something. She is dead in her eyes. The only thing she cried about was her little brother who of course she is going to cry about that. Also the letters, ashes I agree with you completely. Her demeanor is off in everything she talks about. She is guilty I think just as much as the guy from what I read. That is just what I read though. I could be wrong.

Is that the young woman who got kidnaped from San Diego, CA? I really do not know much about the story but if she was sending texts to this guy it seems kind of strange. So sorry for the loss of her mother and brother.

Something really stinks with this entire situation. I don't think she is little miss innocent. I think she is a pretty little liar and was involved a lot more then what she is saying. Her and her mother evidently didn't get along and I think her brother was just at the wrong place at the wrong time and her mother was the target. Fake and phoney tears and sadness.
