Coming out of the closet can be an extremely difficult process, as you never really know how family and loved ones will react to the news.
A young man named Chad found this out the hard way when his mother Christine kicked him out of the house after she found out he was gay.
Well, the boy's grandfather heard the news and welcomed him with open arms and decided to call out his daughter for her backwards way of thinking!
In an open letter written to Christine, he criticizes her for turning her back on Chad and says kicking him out of the house is what really goes "against nature."
"The only intelligent thing I heard you saying in all of this was that "you didn't raise your son to be gay." Of course you didn't. He was born this way and didn't choose it any more than he being left-handed. You however, have made a choice of being hurtful, narrow-minded and backward. So while we are in the business of [disowning] our children, I think I'll take this moment to say goodbye to you. I now have a fabulous (as the gay put it) grandson to raise, and I don't have time for a heartless B-word of a daughter. If you find your heart, give us a call."
Wow! You tell her, grandpa!!
Not only is it amazing to see this grandfather showing true love and support for his grandson at such an important time in his life, but it's great to see him take a stand against such a narrow-minded way of thinking.
Seriously, does anyone know where we can find this guy?? Because we just want to give him a big ol' hug!!!
Way to go, grandpa!
