This is heartbreaking.
NYPD Officer Rafael Ramos is one of the men who was murdered on Saturday in Brooklyn, and he sadly left behind his 13-year-old son Jaden Ramos.
Following the horrible shooting, Jaden posted a message to his Facebook, saying:
Joseph Patterson, the man accused of brutally beating and murdering Adrian Peterson's two-year-old son, was released from Minnehaha County Jail in South Dakota after he posted $750,000 bond.
However, the 27-year-old still faces charges of second degree murder, two counts of first degree manslaughter, aggravated battery of an infant, and felony child abuse.
Joseph pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his attorney Tim Rensch was able to get his bond lowered from $1 million after he argued the child's death was a result of choking.
Considering what he's being accused of, it's a bit disturbing know he's currently walking free. However, he says he plans of remaining in the area to defend himself in court.
Joseph could still face a life sentence if he's found guilty. He's set to return to court for a pre-trial hearing on January 13th.
