He won't be moving anytime soon.
So has ruled a judge in the case of who should have conservatorship of radio icon Casey Kasem.
His grown daughter Julie Kasem made the bid for temporary conservatorship, but was denied by the judge based on evidence that Casey Kasem was is good hands and was receiving excellent care.
Here's what the judge said:
"[There is] clear and convincing evidence we have now is that he is receiving, depending on who you talk to, good to excellent care".
Casey Kasem is believed to be suffering from an advanced form of Parkinson's Disease, and also Dementia.
The daughter had filed a petition on behalf of her and her other siblings for temporary conservatorship, and alleged that their father "has been isolated from his daughters, friends and other family by Mrs. Kasem."
Which is something we've definitely been hearing about for a while now!
However their stepmother and Casey's wife Jean Kasem has said their actions have prompted the biggest disruption to their father's life!
Here's what she said in her filed court documents:
"[Casey's children] single-handedly and irreparably shattered the lives of their father, his wife and youngest daughter [Liberty], the calm of their home and their neighborhood by engaging in uncalled for public demonstrations and personal attacks in the media. They are doing so with a professionally orchestrated media and legal campaign that has disgraced their father and vilified their stepmother."
HOWEVER the good news is that the judge has set up a visitation date for the children to finally see their father by Dec. 20!!!
Whether or not the stepmother follows the judge's order is a whole different story, so we'll definitely be keeping an eye out on the story to see if she does or not!
Hopefully Casey's children will be able to give their father a proper goodbye!!!
