We smell a new squad in our midst!
However, it appears the epic collaborative performance gave an even cooler gift in the form of new best friends, Blue Ivy Carter and Apple Martin.
For the snap, the Oscar winner wrote:
Want to know what’s going on with these two lovebirds?
Everyone else does too, so Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon sat down for their first post-marriage interview, and in it, they addressed the criticism they received, why Whitney Houston wanted them to be together, and whether or not grandma Cissy Houston really gave them her blessing!
“Bobbi Kristina and Nick admitted their romance blossomed after Whitney Houston’s death in 2012, insisting that it was something Whitney would have wanted.”
Okay, so they weren’t in love before Whitney’s passing then? Nick added something about this, explaining:
“Me calling [Whitney] mom, this where everybody gets the [brother and sister]. We were young. Krissy looked at me as an older brother, and I looked at her as a little sister. She [Whitney] just treated me like she gave birth to me. She treated me like a son. Excuse me for saying this… she treated me better than my birth mother. I owe everything to her… She made me promise several times to look after Krissy… and, Mom, I will never ever, ever break that promise. She wanted this. This is something she wanted to see.”
And if you're wondering if Whit meant marriage when she said to look after her daughter, the answer is YES! Bobbi explained:
"If my mother could see me now she would just be so incredibly happy. I can just see her - she'd be running around fussing about the wedding. She wanted this. She would always be saying to us, 'You guys are going to get married. I already know you're going to get married and have children.' But at the time, we really didn't think it was going to happen… Out of nowhere, we fell madly in love with each other. It took us completely by surprise, just like Mom's death did. Before then, we had lived as best friends, as brother and sister."
Also, apparently it was the public who made Bobbi and Nick fall in lurve:
Nick: “It put a fire in us.”
Bobbi Kristina: “It lit a fire up under our ass and we went haulin'.”
Nick: “The critics can say whatever they want to say… it's like we have a force field and that sh*t's just bouncing off of it.”
That’s super great that they had each other to get through this tough time at least!
Then, finally, they cleared up what happened with her grandmother, Cissy Houston, with Bobbi saying:
“She told both of us that she loved us very, very, very much, and Nick came up and he said ‘Grandma, I want to marry her. Is it okay? I need your blessing to do this, if I don’t have your blessing I won’t feel right,’ and she looked at him and she smiled. She smiled very wide and said, ‘Yes, son, you have my blessing.”
That sounds pretty legit, so we’re wondering where all of the rumors came from that Cissy was unhappy!
