A 14-year-old girl who had originally been declared missing was found in San Diego on Thursday at 5:45 pm. A 24-year-old unidentified man confirmed that Leah Kritzer had actually run away from her home to stay with him.
They met on the online dating website OkCupid where Leah had posed as a 19-year-old. The man drove down to Manhattan Beach last Sunday, and they drove to San Diego together. She emphasized that the man had not harmed her.
Her worried sick parents had reported to police that Leah had gone missing on Sunday after going out for a walk with their dog. When a neighbor called them up to ask if their dog was lost, they noticed their daughter had "disappeared".
The dog, thankfully, was returned in perfect condition.
Since no foul play is suspected, the man she was with won't be arrested or charged with any crime.
This isn't the first time Leah has pulled a stunt like this. She ran away from home a couple months ago, and was tracked through her cell phone by police to be staying in a motel.
We're just glad Leah and the dog are OK. Although we're sure she's going to be grounded for a while after this!
She could've at least left a note that she was running away!
