A California couple, Konrad Lightner and his wife Jennifer, were moving out of their Burbank home on Sunday when the unexpected happened!
While carrying boxes out to their car, they noticed a toddler and his sister throwing toys out a window — and immediately sprung into action when they saw the boy had then thrown his leg over the window sill, dangling three-stories above the hard ground!
"We called 911 and Konrad threw the box spring down to try to break his fall and stood there to catch him."
That's when the worst case scenario came true, the toddler fell!
Luckily, Konrad was ready!
"I kind of grabbed him and lowered him real fast to the box spring."
A neighbor had to tell the unaware parents of what had happened.
The boy was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries.
"It feels like I watched a TV show, like it didn't happen to me. I'm not a hero. I just walked by and just tried to help. We were lucky to be there."
We're so glad they were there to catch that kid!
Way to go, Konrad!
