Girls Giving Their Fathers Their Virginity — Until Marriage! Read How Deep These Purity Balls Go HERE!

purity balls preserve daughters virginity make dad their boyfriend

Want your daughter to stay a virgin until she’s married? Cool! Just make sure her dad is her boyfriend!

ABC's Nightline Prime is helping bring to light events, ironically called Purity Balls, where fathers share the importance of their daughters saving their virginity until marriage.

These Balls take place in 48 states and 17 countries, where the young girls pledge to marry the Lord, and have their dad as their boyfriend, until they find 'the one.'

Sounds pretty, erm, different!

At the balls, fathers give their daughters a purity ring, and the dads sign a covenant:

“before God to cover my daughter as her authority and protection in the area of purity.”

The rings go perfect with the white dresses the girls wear too!

But wait, what about the boys?! Shouldn’t parents be concerned about whether or not they save themselves for marriage too?!

Maybe we'll find out after the show airs, but you can get a little taste of it (below)!

Thank you for showing something about those trying to follow God's word without painting us as freaks or phsycos. The questions were reasonable and given with the sound of a real desire to understand. Thank you to the families for putting themselves out there, knowing that society has a very different view of how things should be. Too sad that 'the world' is looking for this, but just doesn't realize it.

Re: Grover – I don't think you got the sarcastic tone of the article. "Want your daughter to stay a virgin until she’s married? Cool! Just make sure her dad is her boyfriend!" The idea alone makes me cringe, and the clip is ridiculous as well. I personally believe that religion and "purity" are old fashioned, but hey, to each their own. I just think you can achieve the same thing without purity rings and dad boyfriends. It's called sex education.
