Bill Gates ISN'T Leaving His Fortune To His Kids?? Read The Incredible Reason Why HERE!

bill gates melinda gates not leaving their kids billions of dollars

You don’t hear this often!

While the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills are off squandering their parents’ ca$$$h, Bill and Melinda Gates are raising the future leaders of America by NOT giving them their fortune!

In Vancouver at the TED ideas event, the parents of the world’s richest family opened up about their two daughters and one son, and how much money they’ll get.

The answer is not too much.

Interviewer Chris Anderson asked how they’ve raised their kids in that money-plenty environment, to which Bill level-headedly answered:

“You’ve got to make sure they have a sense of their own ability and what they’re going to go and do.”

So, much of the family’s billions is going to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation when the Gateses pass. Bill further explained this, saying:

“We want to strike a balance so they have the freedom to do anything, but not sort of a lot of money showered on them so that they can go out and do nothing… They won’t have anything like that [billions of dollars]. They need to have a sense that their own work is meaningful and important.”

This is such a morbid topic to even discuss, but the people are wondering!

And it won’t surprise you to know that Mr. and Mrs. Gates got this financial idea from fellow one percenter Warren Buffett.

Hopefully their kids learn from Bill and Melinda because even with all of those billions, they're still working hard to make the world a better place.

Good for them. There are way to many examples of rich kids who end up doing nothing except leading very shallow entitled lives.

A few of Buffets family members have given interviews stating just what they think of a man who makes the grandkids beg for money to go on a field trip. Not the best exaple to follow.

Good for him! This is a very good decision. You don't want your kids ending up like Paris Hilton!

Re: karen – I heard one of those interviews - his grand-daughter was complaining because she had to work as a housekeeper. She said that all her grandfather paid for was their education. Personally - I think it is great.

The figure in another article was they'd eventually receive $10 million each.

Will someone please forward this to the Karda$hians and let them know that this is what having a conscience and REAL MONEY is like. Life is not all about photo shoots and tacky clothes. #giveNorthachance

This isn't what it seems. The kids aren't getting billions, no. They are, however, getting a billion each. That's ONE BILLION each. With a B. A a capital fucking B at that. So don't read nonsense into it.

Re: @v@ – Hey I would be more than happy with $500 thou and delirious with 1 mil.

Sorry this decision just does not compute.

This "not too much" is nevertheless more that most people on Earth will earn in their lifetime of hard work, whether it's a million or a billion. This said, I hate charities of any sort and it just irks me that they give away money they have earned to a bunch of crooks who will only give to whatever their charity stands for a tiny fraction of a percent (yes, I mean 1%) to the cause. They will first cover their "administration fees" and "employees" wages, and their "bonuses for work well done".. I think the kids should be in charge of the family fortune and give to whomever needs some help, not some bloody charity hub of inequity, even if it was founded by Gateses. Once they are gone, no one will give a fuck about charity cases, only about their own bank accounts.
I would rather see people walk down a street and give $5 to someone they personally think needs it than give a million to some bloody charity!

    Re: karen
Are you kidding me ? From what i've read Buffett paid for ALL his grandkids' education. Just because someone has money, doesn't mean there is an entitlement to certain privileges. That is called being parasitic. You should work hard, and carve your own path. Create your own identity. Hardship helps define your integrity, and develops perseverance, and willpower. Getting anything you want, without struggle, leads to struggle !
