If you thought Sunnie Kahle getting kicked out of her Christian school for dressing like a boy was bad (story HERE), this will really get your blood boiling!!
9-year-old Kamryn Renfro showed an amazing act of kindness when she recently decided to shave her head in support for her friend Delaney Clements, who is going through chemotherapy — and is having a hard time being bald!
Unfortunately, the Caprock Academy in Grand Junction, Colorado had to ruin the kind gesture and turned the sweet sentiment sour when they SUSPENDED her and wouldn't let her return to classes due to a violation in their dress code!
On Monday, Kamryn's mom emailed the school to clear the air, because surely they wouldn't suspend a little girl who's showing support for her friend who has cancer, right? RIGHT?? Well as it turns out they totally would, because her mom got a call saying she would NOT be allowed to return to classes!
Since then, Caprock seems to have had a change of heart and has allowed Kamryn to return to school, although the board of directors is set to have a meeting regarding her "situation."
Honestly, we're not really sure what there is to discuss! What Kamryn did is not only sweet, but it's incredibly brave and it's insane that the school doesn't recognize that!
Little Delaney is going through something we wouldn't wish on our worst enemies, and she is SO STRONG. We love that she has friends willing to lift her spirits!
We just wish the school would help instead of hinder! Think of how Kamryn's ban made Delaney feel!!
