The future of law enforcement is looking pretty bright right now!
Just the other day we saw 14-year-old Annie James hand out a parking ticket to a police officer, and now we have 9-year-old Isaiah McLoughlin making some BIG changes in his neighborhood!
The little crime fighter from Waterford, Connecticut wrote a letter to the local authorities when he was concerned over the number of cars speeding down his street! He wrote:
"Dear Waterford police officers,
My name is Isaiah McLoughlin. I live at [address redacted] Waterford, CT. Every morning when I wait for my bus, cars and trucks are speeding. It makes me feel unsafe. Please call my grandmother Millie Mell at [phone number redacted] so we can talk about the situation.
Signed, your friend Isaiah McLoughlin"
Well the letter DID reach police officers and they didn't just read it, they took action and added speed enforcement in his neighborhood!
That's pretty impressive!
But if you're thinking Isaiah has a bright future as a police officer, he's shooting MUCH higher and says one day he wants to be mayor! Considering he was able to make that much change at just 9-years-old, we can't wait to see what he does when he's older!
