Kwasi Enin is going to have to make an incredibly rare choice:
Which Ivy League University does he want to go to?
We don't mean, which does he want to apply to… we mean he's already applied and been accepted to all of them and now only has to decide which school he actually wants to attend.
That's so crazy!! This is like super incredibly rare!
Kwasi has a lot going for him. He's a first-generation American from Shirley, New York; he's a violinist and singer; and he's an aspiring physician.
A guidance counselor from his high school, William Floyd High School, said:
"My heart skipped a beat when he told me he was applying to all eight. It's a big deal when we have students apply to one or two Ivies. To get into one or two is huge. It was extraordinary."
He has many factors that helped him out. For one he's a man, and with 57% of college students being girls, they need to get a little more sausage in their party.
Then there's the fact that he's in the top 2% of his class and got a 2,250 out of 2,400 on his SAT.
Also, being a first-generation American from Ghana definitely helps him out according to college admissions experts.
Now he's just waiting to see who's going to offer him the most financial aid. It's recommend he let each school know every other Ivy school accepted him, so a bidding war can be started!
Congrats, Kwasi! Hope you get a free ride to an Ivy!!
