And Guardians Of The Galaxy star Chris Pratt did not disappoint!

Child custody cases are just the worst! It’s like no one wins!
This one seems to totally take the cake, though!
We’ve been following the story of Olympic skier Bode Miller who impregnated Sara McKenna, then married Morgan Beck Miller.
Well, the trio has been fighting for custody of their son, who Sara calls Samuel, and Bode calls Nathaniel.
Bode’s wife Morgan already wrote , and deleted, a lengthy blog, telling the world their side of the story.
Now it’s Sara’s turn and Cosmo gave her a forum for her story!
The former Marine left California for New York while pregnant which is why she was denied custody of her child. She filed for temporary custody in NY three days after the baby’s birth, but Bode secretly filed for default custody in California. So, the judged ruled it “unjustifiable conduct” adding that the “appropriation of the child in-utero was irresponsible, irreprehensible” under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act.
The appeals court eventually moved the case back from Cali to Manhattan after Sara got support from women's rights groups.
Miz McKenna explained why she chose to leave California for New York while pregnant, and it sounds totally reasonable:
“I knew early in my pregnancy I couldn’t continue working as a firefighter and be a single mom, so I decided to finish my college degree. I chose Columbia University — in addition to being an incredible school, they have breastfeeding rooms on campus and family support networks. When I learned that I could adjust my classes depending on Sam’s needs, I was sold. I texted Bode in November to let him know my plans to move. He never responded.”
Point - Sara.
She also explained that when she told Bode about the baby, she said she planned to raise him on her own, if Bode didn’t want to. He had no response for her.
On September 4th though, a judge made Sara give Sam/Nathaniel to Bode.
Sara also wrote about Bode and Morgan sending her pics of her son while he was gone, and says that she’d keep checking social media for more, but never mentions why she didn’t send the father any pics when she was the one with their son.
On November 25th, she got her baby back, after dropping out of college and then re-enrolling. She added:
“I focused on finding any custody case that could help me get Sam back. I was going to keep fighting. There were countless nights that I was up until 3 a.m. researching cases, and I’ve decided to pursue a degree in law to help anyone else who might experience this in the future… My hope is that Bode and I can work together to finally give Sam a stable life. That’s all I want for our son.”
It’s always good to hear both sides to a story, and it’s just going to have to play out in court.
No matter what happens though, it’s very clear that Sara has become much stronger from this hardship. Maybe time will help heal the situation.
We just want their son to grow up happy, however he can!
