Jennifer Scollin wasn't feeling well in the days leading up to last Saturday.
She was stressed out at work and thought it was either that or a bad stomach flu why she was feeling so bad.
The Connecticut mother of a four-year-old daughter told her boyfriend Matt Dillman on Saturday that she was in serious pain, and needed to go to the hospital.
Here's what she said:
"I didn’t know I was pregnant. I had been feeling fine until the past few days and I had been getting my "womanly thing" every month until last month. [On Saturday] he was going to drive me to the hospital, but we had no chance to do that. We didn't know at first it was a baby coming, but once we did, it happened fast."
Luckily paramedics soon arrived, but it doesn't sound like they were really needed as the labor was nearly over at that point!
In fact the momma said it was two pushes and the baby was out!
Jennifer Scollin was taken to the hospital for observation, but came out with a healthy baby named Cole Michael Thomas Dillman! Although her parents were dismayed that they had a new grandchild! The grandfather said:
"We arrived minutes after the birth. I was alarmed, shocked to be told by my granddaughter that her mom had a baby boy. I looked in the ambulance, and both were in excellent shape. My daughter said, `Dad, I didn't know.'"
That is TOO crazy!
But as long as the baby is OK — we don't mind! Though we'll forever remain skeptical that anyone could ever not know they were pregnant… especially with a NINE POUND BABY.
