She knew it was going to be awesome before she even gave birth!
Emily Blunt welcomed her newborn daughter on February 16th, but a new Vogue interview reveals some of her words before she popped!
And they were amazing!
Basically, Emily, in the midst of preparing for parenthood, told the magazine that all of her preparations had made her realize that she was entering a zone she had never experienced before!
A totally cool zone! Here's what she said:
"It's really the coolest thing that's ever happened to me. I feel good. Although I do wake up feeling like my grandmother. I sleep with a fortress of pillows around me. I've got one of those huge C-shaped ones. My husband calls it Gary."
Although some of the best advice her and daddy John Krasinski received was to not read any books about pregnancy and kids, and to not read anything online - Emily did admit there was one thing that helped her during her pregnancy.
Gluten-free cookies! She said:
"I know everyone rolls their eyes, but I met a hippie doctor who suggested it, and it's really helped me in the pregnancy."
We're not rolling anything — that sounds genius! Add that to your one coffee a day, and you've got yourself a nice little break!
Whatever she did worked because her and John announced two days after Valentine's Day that their daughter Hazel had been born, and that she was amazing!
And now Emily is surrounded in an aura of coolness! Yay for parenthood!
