We just hope he continues to get better.
Michael Morones is an 11-year-old boy who loves the show My Little Pony, and represented that love by wearing a backpack from the show.
But after other school children incessantly bullied him, he tragically attempted suicide by hanging himself.
His parents found him just in time to stop the attempt and bring him to the hospital, but for a long time they weren't sure if they had rescued him in time.
However his health has improved periodically since then, and his mother is now speaking out about what happened to her son.
Here's what Tiffany Morones recently said:
"It's insane to think that we are even here. Sometimes our kids think they're strong and they're tough and they can handle everything, but as a parent it's our job to say, 'You know what, this is something I get to handle for you.'"
There's a still long ways to go for young Michael. His oxygen was momentarily cut off during his suicide attempt, and doctors are considering whether he's going through locked in syndrome right now.
His mother said:
"He gets a little better every day, but there is still a long road ahead of him."
Even though it may be against the odds, we're seriously hoping this special boy makes a full recovery, and is able to finally reunite with his family.

Hopefully something so tragic like this does not happen again to any other children and their families.
