Such a tough situation.
Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer recently shared an amazingly adorable Twitter photo of her family which had her daughter Ali sitting in a wheelchair.
Leah was very open when her daughter was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy, and it seems like her good vibes are doing well for Ali who looked really happy in the photo.
“Just a day at the aquarium with my babies! It was PERFECT!”
However while Leah knows that her daughter needs a wheelchair, her ex Corey Simms has not been so open to the idea. And Leah believes it's making the wrong impression on their daughter!
Here's what a source said:
“Corey of course loves his daughter, but he’s been more difficult to convince that it is the best thing for Ali. He doesn’t want to accept that she does need the wheelchair."
While Leah isn't happy that her daughter needs a wheelchair, she firmly believes that it IS necessary, and that Corey needs to accept that. A source said:
“Leah is doing everything she can for Ali and she wants her to use the wheelchair to make her life better. Leah hates that Ali needs a wheelchair, but she accepts it and makes it as easy for Ali as she can. She wants Corey and his family to do the same thing because she doesn’t ever want Ali to get two different messages about her life.”
An exemplification of this tale of two lives is featured in a picture that Corey's father Jeff Simms shared of his daughters fishing, and Ali not in her wheelchair.
We definitely think these parents need to have a sit down, and discuss what is absolutely the best option for their daughter. Really, that is all that matters.
