Every parent wants the best for their child, and now they can start enriching their minds as early as three months old!
Explore+Discovery is a new baby school in Gramercy Park in Manhattan, and it will only cost you $33,429 to send your kid there!
Wait, what?! That’s more than some colleges!
But it’s totally worth it because these three to 23-month-olds are treated like kings and queens! There are eight classrooms with catering for 80 babies, and a recreation area!
A typical day starts at 8am, and then there’s 'morning explorations,' 'music sessions,' 'story time,' and 'napping.' Oh, and along with the baby catering, the little ones work on their self-feeding skillz!
They can also start learning Spanish too, even though some of the babies are far too young to talk yet.
Then, around 6pm, the babies go home.
The founder of Explore+Discover, Michael Koffler, explained:
“'There isn’t anything out there that focuses on babies. We’re specializing in the world of babies.”
That’s exactly what they do because, as director Jacqueline Marks says:
“Teachers will be constructing the curriculum with the children. Let’s say the teachers notice that the child keeps going back to the same basket of rocks day after day. 'They’ll watch to see what they’re doing with them. Are they knocking them together or lining them up? Teachers will see what the infants are interested in and will use that as clues for how to provide more opportunities to further explore.”
What a great concept! But for that kind of ca$$$h, our kids better be playing with something more than a basket of rocks! They can do that at home! Ha!
And in case you don’t just have tens of thousands of dollars lying around, you can take your kid to school for a few days a week at just $16,788 to $23,880!
The Gramercy location opens in September and they’re enrolling, if your checkbook is already in-hand!
This just seems like so much to pay for baby school, no?
