Apparently some teenagers be "beezin'" these days, and if you don't know what that means — it's probably a good thing!
Burt's Bees makes one of the greatest lip balms in the world, but unfortunately some folks have been misusing the soothing potion for something other than their mouths.
Now if you're like us, and that makes no sense, here's Dr. Brett Cauthen to explain this latest teenage sensation. He said:
"It's the peppermint oil that's causing the burning sensation and I suppose some people think that is kind of funny. The peppermint oil in the lip balm is a very strong irritant and can cause inflammation in the eye, redness of the eye, swelling…"
Some folks actually are arguing that the practice is one hundred percent safe because, after all, Burt's Bees' products are all natural!
Yeah - that makes no sense. Wasabi is all natural and has a burning sensation, but you don't see teens rubbing it in their eyes…
…Oops! Forget we said anything.
We don't want to give these teenagers any more ideas, ha!
