You go, Spider-Man!!!
Andrew Garfield is a super hero in real life these days! The ah-mazing actor recently helped raise $10,000 in funds for a charity, but it wasn't just any old charity!
It was one that helps and protects kids!
The money-raising happened this past Sunday where a special screening of Andrew's newest movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2 took place in New York City put together by Andrew, Dr. Jane Aronson, and the Worldwide Orphans Foundation!!!
Here's what Garfield said at the event:
“There’s a lot of hope in all of us being here, and giving whatever we can to a cause that’s impossible to argue. I’m in awe of what Jane and her team do. I’m sure that if Spider-Man were here, he’d be energised by the work of (Dr. Aronson) and her incredible team.”
As one could probably tell from the name, the Worldwide Orphans Foundation is all about helping orphans around the world, and posted the exciting raised amount on Facebook where they wrote:
"Dr. Jane Aronson just told the crowd that we raised over 10K tonight! Wow. Thank you all!"
With great power comes great responsibility, and Andrew is doing what every celebrity should be!
