Gwyneth Paltrow Explains Her Awful 'Film Acting Is Harder For Moms Than A 9-5 Job' Comment! She Didn't Mean It Like That!

Gwyneth Paltrow has tried to remedy her foot in mouth disease by explaining some inflammatory comments she made a few weeks ago.

About a month ago, Gwyneth Paltrow came down with a serious case of foot-in-mouth disease.

It was just like Contagion except less… deadly. More just embarrassing.

So she's clearing the air and defending the comments she made, saying:

"A few weeks ago during an interview, I was asked why I have only worked on one film a year since having children. My answer was this: Film work takes one away from home and requires 12-14 hours a day, making it difficult to be the one to make the kids their lunch, drive them to school, and put them to bed. So I have found it easier on my family life to make a film the exception, and my 9-5 job the rule.

This somehow was taken to mean I had said a 9-5 job is easier, and a lot of heat was thrown my way, especially by other working mothers who somehow used my out-of-context quote as an opportunity to express feelings (perhaps projected) on the subject. As the mommy wars rage on, I am constantly perplexed and amazed by how little slack we cut each other as women."

All Gwyneth wants to do is end the "mommy wars" and we totally get that.

But instead of simply explaining herself to those she may have offended, she went on to denounce women who tear down other women.

She continued:

"We see disapproval in the eyes of other mothers when we say how long we breastfed (Too long? Not long enough?), or whether we have decided to go back to work versus stay home. Is it not hard enough to attempt to raise children thoughtfully, while contributing something, or bringing home some (or more) of the bacon? Why do we feel so entitled to opine, often so negatively, on the choices of other women? Perhaps because there is so much pressure to do it all, and do it all well all at the same time (impossible)."

We agree! To each his (or her) own!

We know Gwyneth is both a hard worker and a great mother!

She closed with a simple statement, everyone can agree with:

"To every single mother out there, have a wonderful Mother's Day."

Agreed again!!

Happy (upcoming) Mother's Day!!

For the simple fact that she has loads of money and probably help with some cooking and cleaning and shopping, and so on I feel that she shouldn't hAve a say. Or atleast don't compare herself to is who make less than $100,000 a year. She needs to come from a better place… I have loved that broad for many years but I'm finding that she keeps making statements that are insane. Maybe the lack of carbs are getting to her brain. But I liked it better when she came from a sweet wanting to share the goods to an expert kinda place….

First she slams all the working mothers in the world and then she has the fucking nerve to cry that we're picking on her? What a bitch! She has nannies, and a housekeeper and people who come and clean and wash her freaking windows and do her gardening……and she thinks she has it hard? Most of us do all of that and more ourselves as well as raising our children and working full time.

Keep tearing her up for saying 12-13 hour days are not the average and it was hard on her child. That wasn't meant to take away from you who are angry.. In fact it had nothing to do with you so stop making it personal to get attention. A person no matter how "rich" they are should be allowed to have an opinion on what they think is too much work and time away from their child without being slammed. I'm sorry that you seem to be angry she might have a maid, nanny.. Better house ect. Here is a question.. Have you EVER complained about your job in any way? Do you have a house, food to eat, clothes to wear ect well then if someone in the third world heard you complaining about your job and deem you a rich lucky S.O.B should they be able to judge you and call you names and throw major hate your way.. No. Stop being angry if your unhappy with your life make a change but don't hate what others have. Everyone is entitled to voice their opinion.

She completely changes the subject. Distracts from what she said. So we the peeps can forget the big nono she said and maybe move past. That's sweet she said single mothers… I'm guessing she figured they're the ones working the 9-5 jobs.

If she says so, she has the experience of both jobs! I don't see why her comments would be a problem. Perez stop choking on every classy (real classy) woman out there!!! It's not as if you come from the womb of a vulgar vilaine!!
