jason patric wins major victory in paternity case judge rules he can fight for custody

This is proof that you should never give up fighting for something or someone you love!

More than a year after losing in court the right to seek custody of his child, Jason Patric has now WON a recent MAJOR victory in his paternity case!

A victory for Jason, though, means a loss for his ex Danielle Schreiber, who had previously claimed that she used his sperm artificially — but never had any intention of raising the son Gus with Jason. She even says Jason was fully aware of it.

A judge previously ruled that since Jason wasn't married to Danielle, and since the child was conceived with a doctor's aid, Jason Patric had no claim of custody over the child.

But Jason's long appeal has worked because a judge just ruled he's totally able to seek paternity rights!

However Jason Patric's days in court are not over. This new ruling only allows the actor to go fight for custody of his son in court. But it IS an option that wasn't even available to him before!

We have a feeling someone will be celebrating tonight! And his last name rhymes with hat trick!
