You rarely hear of this happening!

And yet when we realized who was doing the goodness, we didn't bat an eye!

Amy Poehler was on a plane recently kicking back in her first class seats when she noticed a mother struggling with her baby and her bags in the coach section.

The Parks And Recreation star with the heart of gold offered to change seats with the lady to which the mother politely refused, and that is where it would've ended with most people.

But Amy ain't most people!

Here's what a source said went down:

"The woman was struggling with her baby, diaper bag and luggage, so Amy offered to swap seats and sit in coach instead! The woman kept refusing the offer, but Amy wouldn't budge. She literally had to push the mom into her first class seat. It was really sweet."

But that wasn't the end of the story!

Once in coach, Amy went on to engage all of her fellow passengers and was joking around and talking to them all!

A source said:

"Amy ended up sitting in an aisle seat in coach, where she took pictures with other passengers and joked around! Everyone loved her!"

We bet this is one of the first times ever that the people in the first class section of the plane were wishing they took the cheaper seats — they totally missed an amazing show by Amy!

We LOVE the kindness and generosity that Amy Poehler put on display here — we can all learn a thing or two from her!

Bravo!!!

Do you really think that the first class people really wished that they where in coach just to be entertained by Amy!

"She literally had to push the mom into her first class seat."
Maybe the mother with the young baby did not want to sit up in first class in case her baby started fussing. Can you imagine the uproar from first class if her baby had cried the whole time? I would not want to be in that situation.

Re: MJaded – as if coach would have dealt w it better? I had a fussy baby in coach and had amazing ppl help me. How abt instead if being dicks, ppl need to accept gifts in the spirit they are given and help one another.

    Re: Devynn
I did not say that coach would have handled it better, but the people in first class did pay a lot more for their tickets. How about instead of resorting to childish name calling people can accept differing opinions politely. I just pointed out how I would feel in that situation. I did not say anything horrible or rude. I certainly did not act like a "dick".

What? My daughter coincidentally ended up on the same plane as my wife and I. We were in first and they wouldn't let me switch. We also had on the same flight a sometimes fussy child next to us. We had fun (no sarcasm). Like kids on planes— breaks up the boredom. And Amy rocks.
