Hopefully they can get through this together.
Here's what he wrote in the letter:

When Walter Bunker felt uncertain about his future in and after college, he made the decision to leave a violin scholarship at Xavier University in Cincinnati to see the world.
After serving in World War II, leading a successful career in real estate, and even seeing his children and a grandchild graduate from Xavier, he found out that he was just two credits shy of his own degree.
Well, Walter wasn't about to let that pass! He turned in some short stories to a literature professor and scored his last credits, and on Saturday he finally became a college graduate! He said:
"This is the culmination of my life… Now I guess I'll have to go out and start looking for a job."
Ha! Watch Walter walk the stage and accept his degree (and get a standing ovation in the process!)!
