At least the truth has finally come out.
Wow, how awful.
The sad truth was revealed in the documentary, Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck which recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Turns out we aren't the only ones who love Reading Rainbow!
LeVar Burton pleasantly surprised the world when he announced he had started a Kickstarter campaign to bring back the show that teaches kids to love reading!
A show that we know firsthand definitely works!!!
LeVar's crowdfunding webpage had an original goal of $1 million dollars, but in less than 24 hours - LeVar had already passed that pretty high goal!
With 34 days to go the project has already made $1,668,465, and it doesn't seem like the donations will be stopping anytime soon! We're not sure where this extra money will go — but if all of it goes towards Reading Rainbow, we wouldn't mind one bit!
And the donators for the show were all sorts of folks! Including U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and LeVar's Star Trek: The Next Generation alum Wil Wheaton:

In a video made for his campaign to bring back Reading Rainbow to the web, LeVar said:
"Just being on tablets simply won't get the job done for way too many of our families. This Kickstarter campaign is about reaching every web-connected child. Universal access. Thousands of more books than what we have now. And hundreds of more video field trips."
Now that the first million dollar goal has been reached - we can't wait to see what the rest of this generously donated money will provide LeVar and his team!
The possibilities are endless!
