It's been a trying year for Kelly Rutherford, but it appears she's looking on the bright side.

The actress has been through a lot of custody drama in the past year, not to mention all of the past six years since the whole ordeal began.
Her children Hermes and Helena are currently in Europe with their father Daniel Giersch, who won custody in mid-December.
Kelly is allowed visitation in France or Monaco, where Giersch usually resides. The Gossip Girl alum posted this reflective message on her Instagram on Thursday:
