@Perez it's called pump and dump she's obviously breastfeeding her infant daughter something you would know nothing about because your a guy. at least she's being smart and not nursing while there's alcohol present in her milk

For the sake of not spreading misinformation, pumping and dumping is only to maintain milk supply. If there is alcohol in your blood, the milk that comes in after you pump will still have alcohol in it. It takes 2 hours per drink for your body to process the alcohol out of your blood and milk :)

Alcohol is freely exchanged between blood and breast milk. As long as it's in your blood it's in your milk. You don't have to pump and dump…just wait it out.

Actually i'm a midwife and lactation consultant and you don't actually have to pump and dump to have a drink. the alcohol from one drink leaves your breastmilk in one hour as it does in the blood stream. so as long as you wait an hour it's safe to feed the baby WITHOUT pumping and dumping it. I know it's hard to believe but it's true!

The myth of pump and dump is simply that- a myth! Safe to drive, safe to feed. Check KellyMom for more information

This is wrong. I'm a drug and alcohol clinician and know that alcohol enters the bloodstream for approx 1 hr (give or take an hour) with every standard drink consumed, 125ml of wine, 30ml spirit, etc. so pumping and dumping is useless and makes no sense. You just need to wait it out and not go over board with alcohol consumption…and if in doubt, don't drink whilst breast feeding!!
