Hopefully they can get through this together.
Here's what he wrote in the letter:

7-year-old Quinn Callender came home from school one day and told his mom that his buddy Brayden needed to have expensive surgery… and that he wanted to help.
Because that’s what friends are for!
It doesn’t get much more adorable than that!
Brayden Grozdanich, also 7, suffers from cerebral palsy and needed to have this life-changing procedure done. These two cute kids live in Canada but the surgery Brayden needed is only done in New Jersey and costs $20,000!
It occurred to Quinn’s parents that their son might need some help if they were going to raise that much money. So, in addition to the lemonade stand, Quinn’s mom Heather started an online crowdfunding campaign called My Buddy Brayden.
They set their goal at $20K, which would cover Brayden’s surgery. But before long, they had raised over $50 THOUSAND!
Well how could you NOT give to this great cause?!
Quinn even explains on the site why he wants to help his BFF, writing:
"Please help me raise money to help my friend Brayden, he is a really good guy.”
We think you’re a really good guy too, Quinn! A REALLY great guy!
Brayden’s firefighter dad, Travis Grozdanich, says they’ve scheduled the surgery that will help his son walk without braces. He said:
“There's the possibility he'll be walking out the hospital that same day."
Such great news!!!
The fundraiser is still going for the rest of the month and both Brayden and Quinn were out selling lemonade this weekend.
As you can imagine, there were a lot of thirsty customers!
