This is just…ugh.
When the recorded rape of a 16-year-old went viral online, the victim of the sexual assault decided that she could not stay quiet anymore.
In an amazing display of courage the Houston area teen named Jada has been speaking about the events that some gross Twitter users have been sharing with others.
The reason she believes this is what happened is because she does not remember what occurred over the next few hours, but soon started to piece it together through some disturbing pics, tweets, and a video that began to make their way across her peers' social media accounts.
And although rape victims are usually not identified in the media, Jada made a decision to not hide. The reason for that, we'll let Jada explain. She said:
"There's no point in hiding. Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”
Unfortunately this is not the end of this story.
Some disturbed individuals have chosen to use Twitter to pose as Jada was laid out in the video. They created a hashtag, and it has started to become a meme.
One user tweeted:

Jada's alleged rapist Innel Yahia even tried to defend himself through a series of since deleted tweets, but the unsettling tweets prove his guilt if anything. Check those out (above).
Houston Police are investigating Jada's claims, and the 16-year-old hopes that they will make an arrest sooner rather than later.
As for how she feels about the series of distressing events that no one should ever have to go through, Jada responded with:
"I'm just angry."
We are too, Jada. We are too.
It's truly disgusting and horrible to even think about what this young teenager has endured, and hopefully some semblance of justice can be enforced quickly.
Jada deserves nothing less.
