Stacy Keibler Is Gonna Gobble Up Her Baby's Placenta After Giving Birth And There's Nothing We Could Do To Stop Her!

Wanna know how Stacy Keibler plans on holding onto her model-good looks after the birth of her daughter?

She's going to eat the placenta.

We'll give you a minute to digest that.

And now that that image is in your head, she's not actually eating the placenta to stay in shape.

She's doing it to fight off any potential postpartum depression she might experience!

And Stacy isn't alone in doing this! January Jones, Alicia Silverstone and Mayim Bialik all partook in placenta post-pregnancy.

The eight-month-along star has eaten nothing but healthy foods gearing up for her baby, and she sees the placenta as just another health benefit.

But, she's not going to be eating it all in one sitting. Stacy plans on blending the placenta into a powder, and then taking a pill filled with the powder daily.

There's still a month to go until Stacy pops, so who knows for sure whether she'll still feel up for it when the time comes.

Good luck Stacy!

In 1975, my college roommate had a home birth. Her midwife subscribed to the practice of consuming post-birth placenta. All through labor there was a boiling pot of water with onions and garlic. The placenta was added and cooked much like any other organ meat. She then made it into a pate, spread it on crackers and let those of us at the birth choose to partake. I opted out, but I wonder if that practice has been replaced with powdered placenta in capsules. Either way, it's a journey up the learning curve to hear about this.

Sorry but that just sounds disgusting IMO.

It's called placental encapsulation and it's probably one of the healthiest things you can do post pregnancy, especially if breastfeeding. It's nothing new, people have done it for many, many years.

Re: IgnoranceRe: Ignorance – I like to think we've evolved past doing what dogs do… this kinda thing reminds me of my childhood dog that would go across the road and eat cow placenta. so nasty
