Casey Kasem’s Widow Gets Dropped By Her SECOND Legal Team! Poor Casey STILL Hasn't Been Laid To Rest!

jean kasem dropped by second law firm

Can’t they just let him rest in peace already?!

Casey Kasem passed on June 15th, and since then there has been nothing but drama for his family.

The radio icon’s wife, Jean Kasem, has been in a legal battle with his daughter Kerri since before he passed, but now things are even worse since the family still isn't sure where his body is!

So, since this will be played out in court, both parties need lawyers. Unfortunately for Jean, a second law firm has dropped her has a client. Seattle’s Ryan, Swanson, & Cleveland is no longer representing the widow, after her previous LA based attorneys, Haney & Young, also dropped her because she didn’t pay her fees.

Reportedly, Jean won’t return phone calls and only responds to emails, when she feels like it.

Further, Casey’s daughter Kerri hired private investigator Logan Clarke to look into the situation of her father’s missing body. Logan said:

“Jean is out-of-control and has now been dumped by all of her attorneys, she’s flying without a plane… She’s been playing games with the family and dragging them through court but she’s losing any support she had, soon she’ll be all alone.”

We’re sure this is a really tough time for Jean, but it’s also important to think about what her husband would have wanted, and we seriously doubt he’d have wanted all of this DRAMA!

Hopefully, now that she has no legal representation, Jean and the family can come together and work something out.

Jean's suffering and seems lost after that long haul with Casey and could probably use a friend and some solid counseling to help her back to normalcy. Decline, chronic stress and looming death is a huge bump in life's road. She needs new perspective. Happens to the best of us.

Sad, grew up listening to him on the radio (yes I am old, hopefully you will be too someday) and he sure deserves better.
@v@ - you are too kind sometimes, I applaud your sentiments but have to politely disagree with you this time.

There's nothing left to fight about. Casey is dead. Jean, his widow and next of kin, has the right to dispose of his body. Kerri needs to STFU. I'm sick to death of seeing her hound her stepmother at a time like this.

Re: Anon – Sure, but usually you try find a way back to objectivity and make an attempt to include the family somehow in the burial process. They are his children. They might like to visit the gravesite too. If it's all to protect money, it can still be done without getting into ANY of that.

It' should be about what Casey would want to happen.

Ryan, Swanson, & Cleveland were hired to fight Kerri Kasem's attempt to prevent the body from being moved. That seems to be be a moot-point now, so they're out of a job anyway.

Haney & Young were hired to fight taking Casey Kasem off life-support, and lost. They're claiming that they ran up almost half a million dollars in fees in two weeks, so I'd take my time paying that one too.

Logan Clarke has been working for Kerri Kasem for years, not just to locate the body. He doesn't mention anything about Jean Kasem's long-time LA lawyers, just these short-term squads. Sounds like another non-event from Kerri Kasem's PR machine.
