Texas Mother Kicked Out Of Restaurant For Changing Baby Diaper At Table! Read The Whole Story & Decide Whose Side You're On!

woman kicked from restaurant for changing diaper

Miranda Sowers was out one day with her family, just trying to have a lovely dinner together.

They were eating at Brother's Pizza Express with her baby Reagan, and daughters Lauren, 4, and Katelyn, 8.

At one point during the meal, Miranda took her four-month-old baby into the bathroom but there was no changing table.

Instead of shuffling her whole family back into their minivan, she figured she could just change the baby's diaper real quick at the table.

Miranda said:

"I thought you know what I've got my own changing pad, she's tiny, she fits right here on the chair. So I laid her down quickly and quietly changed her diaper."

According to an employee who saw it all go down, it was pretty obvious and not quick enough.

He said:

"As soon as you start opening the diaper, people start complaining about the smell of the diaper. Last thing I want is a customer throwing up."

So the family's food was brought out to them in "to go" containers and they were asked to leave.

Obviously upset, the momma filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

The restaurant is standing behind their decision but is considering getting changing tables in their bathrooms.

So…

Should moms be allowed to change baby diapers at the dinner table??

it is disgustingly unhygenic to change a babys diaper at a table that people eat food off of. That is a health code violation, no restaurant should allow that.

DISGUSTING!! How does this woman think it's okay to force other diners trying to eat their food to smell her baby's dirty mess? Yuck!! Restaurant did the right thing.

COCHINA! WTF is wrong with people? And then she goes public with it?

What a disgusting lady… so she should inconvenience every diner with the smell of shit just so she don't have to bother going to her car to change her baby? If she had an ounce of decency she would at least not go around advertising her stupidity. Ugh!

I don't condone what she did but why did the restaurant not have a changing table available in the restroom.

I hope she sues and loses. It's time these entitled parents realize there are others in the world besides them. Good grief. She could have changed the kid in the restroom on her own blanket. We got by years doing that. Now everyone wants changing tables. What next? A breastfeeding room and nap room with a babysitter for the kiddies too? She's a disgusting mother.

Disgusting selfish smelly bitch. Now moms can feed breast everywhere, change diapers inside a restaurant, then what?

  9. K says – reply to this

Breast feeding is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT to changing a diaper. You wouldn't eat on a toilet or in a bathroom so why should a baby? With that said you wouldn't go toilet at the table either which is pretty much what this mother made her baby do. So gross! If she had a blanket she should have just changed the baby on the bathroom floor.

First of all….she changed the baby on a chair not on a table.(amazing how people only read what they want to see) However, she should not have changed the baby at the table…that's a no-no. The restaurant should have a baby changing table in the ladies restroom.(especially if it was a family restaurant) All that being said…she should have had enough sense to realize the car would have been the spot to do the changing. I don't think the courts will support her stand in this matter.

This is a person with no class! It's a danger to the public…I sure wouldn't want to be the next person sitting at that table. Gross!! What a dumb a$s…go to the restroom!!!

  13. 13

No she is just wrong and that is disgusting.
Maybe she did not think of it at the time, but possibly the manager could have helped (maybe using an office or something) or else change the baby in the car, it only takes a few minutes, your pizza is not going to get that cold.

why didn't she change the kid in her car or just about anywhere else but on the same table people eat on. friggin' hillbilly.

    15

She didn't do it on the table but on a chair on a changing pad. I think this is on the restaurant for not having a changing station.

Them bitches should of had achanging area then ughh cause this always happens to me plus it was not the table it was a chair and she had her pad below the baby smh

No couth! Disgusting. Would you like green poop with those eggs?

  18. Mommy says – reply to this

    18

Not having a changing table in a public bathroom should not be legal. I see it as child abuse to have to change a babies diaper on the floor or a public bathroom and to me just as offensive as not providing handicap accessible options.

  19. Laurie says – reply to this

    19

Well there's no changing table, how the eff is the mom supposed to change the baby. It's the restaurants fault for not having changing tables. Wtf

  20. Laurie says – reply to this

    20

People make it seem like she's throwing the poop diaper in people's food. Restaurant should have changing tables, mother's would understand

I have 3 children and I have been to many places that did not have a changing station and never once did I change a diaper by a table in a restaurant. I would either A) go to my car and do it or (B) ask the restaurant if they had a "back room" of some kind that I could set my changing pad on and blanket on to do the diaper. I think it's disgusting to change it at the table. (I don't care that it wasn't directly ON the table!!) It's WRONG!!

  22. kj says – reply to this

    22

Our parents were the first generation with changing tables available to us and yet their have been restaurants and public establishments since the beginning of humanity. So why is it that only our generation thinks it's acceptable to change a dirty diaper next to another person eating a meal outside their own home. Wtf is wrong with your classless asses that you don't see a problem with this. What would your granny say?

  23. Kj says – reply to this

    23

The same way every generation of women changed their babies before the 1980s when plastic changing tables were invented. Outside or in a back room. Having handy tools like changing tables are a privlege, not a right.

Now the only way i'am gonna say that maybe she had a good reason for not going out side or spending so much time on the floor is was she there alone with her children, possibly a Single Mother? As a single Mom my self it's almost impossible to go out to dinner with the small kidos alone!
