We're SO grateful FBI informant Rochelle Herman exposed Jared Fogle as a danger to children!

While we were completely shocked to learn that Jared is a pedophile who grossly took advantage of young children, we were even more surprised to learn that an unassuming mother of two was responsible for his downfall.

Listen: Jared Cops To Having Sex With Children

Luckily for us and all parents out there, Rochelle gave us an EXCLUSIVE! interview about her takedown of Fogle, her thoughts on his conviction, and what advice she has for concerned parents.

Check out the interview in full (below)!

Let's go back to the first moment you noticed something amiss with Jared. We know he made a comment the "hotness" of middle school girls. While the comment is most definitely alarming, what pushed you over the edge from just disturbed to actively concerned?:

"The manner in which he expressed his thoughts was extremely disturbing. He made it clear that he was very serious, and he was also cavalier in the way he said it, which immediately set off alarm bells."

How has this situation changed you as a parent and what advice would you give to parents with young children?:

"I lost my innocence and my ability to trust people. It's been a personally challenging journey. Parents must NEVER dismiss that voice in their heads or waive away feelings that someone is off or not right. Trust your instincts and be vigilant."

In light of Jared's recent appeal, do you think he got a fair sentence and why?:

"I don't feel that Fogle's sentencing guidelines or sentence - although it exceeded the sentencing guidelines - was fair or rendered justice. He received only 15 years and 8 months, about 1 year for each child mentioned in the original criminal complaint. The average sentence for such crimes is 16 years per victim. His accomplice - who could not afford a high-priced attorney - received 27 years for pleading to crimes that did NOT include attempts to physically violate children. Fogle violated dozens of children and demonstrated no remorse during his sentencing; which his Judge clearly recognized. Since his conviction, not only has his attorney filed an appeal – presumably over the length of his sentence which speaks to me that he takes no responsibility for his crimes; but he's been able to move Fogle into a minimum-security prison. Fogle didn't get justice, he got the best justice his money could buy."

What's your response to Jared's hope that his money will help the victims to "move forward with their lives"?:

"Laughable…utterly disingenuous. Fogle has never demonstrated any remorse or concern for his victims. Fogle is clinically incapable of understanding the feelings of anyone other than himself."

How did you explain your involvement in the case to your children?:

"It's very difficult. As adults, they understand the words and concepts I've tried to express…how important it was and is to remove such a dangerous threat to the community. They realize that I could not stand by and do nothing and allow another child to be victimized. But something this personal becomes too visceral for even adult children to completely digest. My children continue to struggle with it, and it breaks my heart."

Do you regret your involvement in this case?:

"I will always regret the injury my children suffered. And, I still have horrible nightmares about the children, the very young children, Fogle bragged about. But I do NOT regret helping the FBI take this monster off the street. I would do it again. My biggest fear now is that he will be out one day, amongst the public again."

What's your advice to someone who might be in your position right now — give us a condensed play by play of how you first alerted your suspicions to the authorities. Essentially, is there a safe way to take down a dangerous person?:

"In the Spring of 2006, I had a local health news radio show in Sarasota Florida and was introduced to Fogle through the American Heart Association for the purposes of interviewing him. We were about to record a television segment at a local middle school when he commented that he thought Middle School girls were "hot". He had a live microphone on at the time. It was completely shocking. And, both the cameraman and I looked at each other and realized we'd heard the same thing. I immediately thought to explore his statement further for a possible future investigative story, but Fogle's Subway and Heart Association Handlers instantly took him away after the interview. When I returned to the radio station, I approached my Station News Manager and explained what the cameraman and I had heard and indicated that I wanted to look into a possible story. My station manager approved. I immediately recognized that, as a fairly public figure, I had to present very strong evidence that Fogle had very troubling desires and, in fact, had acted upon them. I knew both Subway and the Heart Association had a great deal invested in his public persona. He was a very significant spokesperson for each organization; and based upon the way in which Fogle was removed from the middle school on that first occasion, Fogle's Handler's appeared to be protecting him (from himself). I did not have an opportunity to interview Fogle again until the Fall of 2006 when he returned to the area for another press tour for the Heart Association. In the hopes of capturing any possible untoward comments he might make again, I arranged for him to call in to the radio station's ‘On Air', recorded phone line; which he had used in the past. Before we went to live radio broadcast, Fogle again repeated and expounded upon his desires for very young girls. This time, his comments were recorded. I presented his recorded comments to my News Manager who continued to permit me to conduct my investigation. I then engaged Fogle in subsequent phone conversations and took copious notes of everything he said. He was completely unfiltered and seemed undaunted by his comments or expressions of his desires for very young children. It was incredibly shocking and very troubling; especially when you consider that I was almost a stranger to him at this time. By June 2007, Fogle began heavily pressuring me to fly to Chicago to introduce me to a number of underground clubs that catered to his fetishes. There was something very unnerving about the way he kept insisting I meet him. I started to think he may have figured out that I was trying to expose him and that I might be in real physical danger. I had also come to know by that time that Fogle had an extremely volatile personality; especially if he didn't get his way. So I contacted a close friend with deep connections to the FBI and other Governmental law enforcement agencies. When I explained what I had discovered, my friend confirmed that I was in very serious danger and immediately took me in to meet with the FBI in Sarasota. I got the impression during that first meeting that the FBI didn't really take me seriously, but as I continued telling my story and shared the recorded evidence, they realized that I was telling the truth. They commenced a worldwide criminal investigation immediately. The FBI then asked me whether I'd be willing to become an Undercover Asset for them since I had already earned Fogle's trust. My work with the FBI lasted nearly 5 grueling years. I later learned that Fogle was a very small part of a global investigation; which is ongoing and that such investigations usually take a decade or more. In 2015, 8 years after the FBI initiated their investigation with my materials and undercover work; Fogle was arrested, plead "Guilty" and was sentenced. My advice to people is - Never remain silent! Allow law enforcement to do their job by letting them know a danger exists. And, be sure to obtain the best evidence, while following all civil and criminal laws, to take to the authorities to avoid any ‘he said, she said' scenarios. I learned through this awful ordeal that I had much more strength than I ever thought possible. But, you find that when children are at risk, the parental instinct kicks in and there is nothing you won't do to protect a child from danger."

Wow, it's clear Jared would not be behind bars if it weren't for Rochelle! What a relief the former radio host followed her instincts.

As for the journalist's advice, we think it's on point — parents should always follow their instincts.

So, what do YOU think of R.H.'s interview?
