We're still healing from the biggest upset in political history, with many shocked citizens unable to wrap their heads around just how Donald Trump managed to win the presidency.

And with so many like-minded people feeling confused and angry over Hillary Clinton's defeat, the Democratic nominee's biggest (fictional) supporter — Parks and Recreation's Leslie Knope — has imparted some wisdom on just what to do next.

In an open letter sent out to multiple sites, the optimistic politician played by Amy Poehler said she does not accept the idea Trump's views reflect the people of our country.

The Pawnee native wrote:

"I acknowledge that Donald Trump is the president. I understand, intellectually, that he won the election. But I do not accept that our country has descended into the hatred-swirled slop pile that he lives in. I reject out of hand the notion that we have thrown up our hands and succumbed to racism, xenophobia, misogyny, and crypto-fascism. I do not accept that. I reject that. I fight that. Today, and tomorrow, and every day until the next election, I reject and fight that story."

After comparing Trump to a "giant farting T. Rex" that was voted President of Pawnee Elementary School in a landslide election from her childhood, Leslie reminded citizens that just because a monster is elected president doesn't suddenly make him any less of a monster.

Emmy Awards 2016: See all the worst dressed.

Oof. There's never any way to expect who might land on this list!

With all the pressure of the Emmy Awards, it's not surprising to see some of the fashions fail on the red carpet. Sadly, sometimes bad outfits happen to your fave celebs.

Sarah Hyland, Anna Chlumsky, and Amy Poehler were unfortunately not quite on point this time around.

We still love them, though! OBVS!

See who else didn't bring them A-game (below)!

Amy Poehler & Tina Fey Go Very Green On The Emmys Red Carpet

| Filed under: Fashion SmashionTina FeyAmy PoehlerEmmysRed Carpet

Emmy Awards 2016: Amy Poehler and Tina Fey walk the red carpet.

Going green!

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey must've known they'd be paired together, but we think they went a little too far at the Emmys in LA Sunday.

They were a little too coordinated!

We like Tina's saucy ensem with the low-cut neckline and matching earrings, but Amy's beaded and layered look is a little too matronly and old-fashioned.

Which one do YOU prefer???
