Samuel L. Jackson Clarifies His Comments About Black Brits Playing African Americans: 'We're Not Afforded The Same Luxury'

Samuel L. Jackson is usually unapologetic about his words, and that also goes for his recent comments about black Brits!

The Hateful Eight star faced some backlash over controversial remarks about black British actors portraying African Americans on the big screen.

In a recent interview with New York radio station Hot 97, SLJ said he thought Jordan Peele's racially charged horror flick Get Out should have starred an American actor instead of London-born Daniel Kaluuya.

These comments sparked a ton of criticism — even (British) Star Wars actor John Boyega spoke out, saying Jackson's argument was a "stupid ass conflict we don't have time for."

Now, the actor is clarifying his remarks, saying he just meant to criticize the one-way system.

At Wednesday's premiere of Kong: Skull Island, the 68-year-old told the AP:
