Cats and dogs living together, mass hysteria!
The new Ghostbusters flick starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones is still a month away from opening, but it's already received quite a bit of backlash… and the women aren't having it anymore!
The GB cast members already appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week to SLAM misogynistic trolls, but they're not stopping there as they recently did an interview with Entertainment Weekly where Wiig dished:
"You can't get better than the original. But it's a different movie, it's a different cast, it's many years later, and we've also done things that are different. It's not just about it starring women."
Jones then chimed in, saying:
Who you gonna call? Why, the original cast, of course!
There's only about a month until Ghostbusters gets rebooted with an all-female cast, which means there's less time than ever for misogynistic trolls to judge the movie before even getting a chance to see it.
Luckily, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones don't seem too annoyed by their haters… because they know they're really just 45-year-old men living in their parents' basements! LOLz!!!
The Saturday Night Live regulars stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday to chat about the upcoming horror/comedy, and ended up getting a surprise of their own when the OG 'busters joined them onstage!
During the eight-way interview, Bill Murray, Annie Potts, Ernie Hudson, and Dan Aykroyd officially gave their slimy blessing to the ladies while admitting they were a little nervous about the remake themselves at first.
We can't imagine Bill saying he found the new film to be funny if it really were a dud… so we can't wait to see it when it possesses theaters July 15!

We hope they didn't cross streams!
The Ghostbusters reboot has been getting a lot of backlash from fans, who — for one reason or another — think the film will tarnish the beloved franchise.
But director Paul Feig isn't letting those ghouls rain on his parade — especially on Ghostbusters Day!
To celebrate the anniversary of the original film's 1984 premiere, the director shared an EPIC photo on Twitter featuring both the old and new casts of the ghostly comedy!
He wrote in the caption:
"I mean, c'mon, how can this picture NOT make you happy? This is an epic group of people. Happy Ghostbusters Day!"
The snap featured Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon alongside original stars Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and Dan Aykroyd — not to mention Ray Parker Jr., who wrote and performed the original Ghostbusters theme song!
What's even better is that both casts will appear together on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday night! AH-Mazing!
Ch-ch-check out the cross-generational snap (above) to temporarily forget about the film's gender-fueled criticism!

The guests of honor!
While Leslie and Kate played it safe in monochrome looks, their fellow co-stars were a bit more adventurous.
Melissa brought a healthy dose of color via her bright pink custom Judy B. Swartz dress. We love those bell cuffs!
But we were confused by Kristen's fancy silk Monique Lhuillier pajamas with pants that pooled on the floor.
Do people not hem slacks anymore? Is it not cool or something?
Well, three out of four ain't bad!

Elle has the Ghostbusters on speed dial!
All four stars of the upcoming Ghostbusters remake appear on the magazine's July issue and all of them look like they'd knock the f*ck out of literally any ghost.
Come at them, bros!!!

The first trailer for Ghostbusters didn't exactly excite people the way some hoped it would…
It was even reported that the trailer was the MOST UNLIKED trailer in the history of YouTube. Ouch!
Well, Sony has attempted to fix that by releasing a brand new trailer for Paul Feig's supernatural comedy FILLED with spooks and specters and supernatural action — oh, and a LOT of plot explanation!
Ch-ch-check out the new trailer (below) and let us know if you're sold on the '80s reboot!
