Fast & Furious 7 Racing Scene Cut, As It Should've Been When You Hear Why

fast and furious race scene cut

A big, important scene for Fast & Furious 7 was given the brakes by studio execs at Universal because it was just too dangerous and too risky.

The shoot was being set up over at Willow Springs International Raceway just a mere 45 minutes away from the site where Paul Walker died.

We're still so sad thinking about that awful day!

According to sources in the crew, producers were about to use "authentic street racers" in a scene where a tricked out yellow Chevelle pops a wheelie as a crowd cheers!

Even Vin Diesel was on set at the time, as the shoot was being prepared for many days, but the Universal brass cancelled the shoot right before it was to start.

Apparently, members of the staff couldn't get the proper insurance before the race began.

Well, in lieu of the tragedy with Paul, we think better safe than sorry is the appropriate mentality to have!

paul walker lawsuit

Porsche claims that a lawsuit filed by widow of Roger Rodas, the person in the unfortunate car accident that killed both himself and and Paul Walker, should be dismissed!

Kristine Rodas previously filed suit against Porsche, stating that the Carerra GT had a faulty part, and lacked a "crash cage" and "racing fuel cell."

But Porsche has pointed out that she couldn't name the faulty part in question, how it contributed to the crash, or if the part was an original or upgrade!

On top of that, they insist that the term "racecar" is a misnomer, and that it is a passenger car. A crash cage and fuel therefore wouldn't be expected by a "normal customer."

However, previously a Porsche exec stated that the car in question was "as close to a racecar as we will ever get" and that it also had "all the disadvantages of a racecar."

Hmm, well that's pretty inneresting. We wonder how that will factor into the motion Porsche filed.

Porsche wants the entire lawsuit tossed out and dismissed! We'll see if that happens!

The Fast & Furious franchise just named their newest star!

Paul Walker’s look-a-like younger brother Cody, 25, caught the eyes of producers while he was filling in for crucial scenes during filming of Fast & Furious 7. Following Paul’s death, Cody was used to shoot unfinished scenes that featured Paul’s character Brian O’Conner.

But now, he’s getting his own role in all of the flicks to come!

Sources say Paul’s character Brian will be seen retiring while his younger brother joins the crew in his place.

That way, both the O’Conner name AND the Walker name live on in the films!

What an AH-Mazing idea and tribute to Paul!

Producers explained that Cody is in no way just a replacement for Paul though. He has his own talents to offer onscreen!

An insider spilled:

"Of course, Cody isn’t a replacement for Paul in any way, but the producers were really grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film and Cody so likable and charming. It would be a tribute to Paul that Cody carries on the Walker name in the Fast and The Furious movies.”

Congratz on getting this part, Cody! We know your big brother would be so proud!
