Celebrities brought together by tragedy.

Last week, Simon Cowell assembled Artists for Grenfell – a group of A-list singers to record a charity single for the devastating Grenfell Tower fire that claimed the lives of 79 people.

Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Rita Ora, Leona Lewis, Jessie J, and Stormzy are just a few artists featured on the moving track recorded in honor of those who lost their possessions, homes, and lives in the inferno.

The recording, a heartbreaking cover of Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water, also features vocals from Robbie Williams, Bastille, Geri Halliwell, James Blunt, Nile Rodgers, the London Community Gospel Choir, and more British artists.

As for the survivors, the government has acquired 68 luxury apartments in neighboring Kensington to permanently house those left homeless by the fire. The lavish complex includes a 24-hour concierge, swimming pool, and private cinema.

City communities secretary Sajid Javid made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon, saying "it is our duty to support" the residents of Grenfell Tower, whose lives — and, in some tragic cases, loved ones — literally went up in flames.

Our heart goes out to all those affected by this horrible incident. Take a listen to the moving song (below).

fox chairmen salty about american idol

Fox is clearly not happy that they lost the American Idol bidding war.

As we previously reported, the singing competition is getting a reboot in early 2018, but rather than return to the network which aired the show for 15 seasons, Idol is coming back on ABC. To make matters worse, Fox executives are VVV salty about the situation.

Just cancel the damn thing!

Although American Idol is coming back to TV, don't expect to see some of the show's famous faces. While Ryan Seacrest will most likely return as host, Season 1 winner Kelly Clarkson will NOT be a judge and will instead become a coach for The Voice's 14th season.

While most people are hoping that iconic judge Simon Cowell will come back to the hit series… don't hold your breath!

In an interview with Extra's Terri Seymour, the British hothead confirmed he will not be apart of the 2018 reboot.

"I was asked to do it, and the answer is no… I have no interest. My memories are when we first started. It was a different time with Randy [Jackson], Ryan [Seacrest] and Paula [Abdul]. You can't recreate that."

In fact, the music executive doesn't like how the program has changed throughout the years.

"Last time I watched, it was not the same show, just the same name. I left for a reason and I never regretted that."

Simon has a point. It's a completely different show!
