Despite the mother/daughter duo's fame, no celebrities will be giving a eulogy at the private service held at Fisher and Reynolds' Beverly Hills compound. In case you forgot, the pair were next-door neighbors.

Joely Fisher Remembers Half-Sister Carrie Fisher In Emotional Tribute: 'I Lost My Hero, My Mentor, My Mirror'

Joely Fisher continues to mourn Carrie Fisher.

The holidays can't have been easy for the Fisher family as they continue to mourn the loss of icons Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.

Following Billie Lourd's touching post in honor of her mom and grandmother, Joely Fisher also penned an emotional tribute to her late half-sister.

Writing for a guest column in The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and singer shared the last conversation she had with the starlet:

"During our transcontinental chat before Carrie's fateful flight from London to L.A., we promised we'd spend Christmas together. It's a promise we kept, although not in a way either of us had anticipated. Throughout the holiday, I sat by her side in a hospital room filled with a cacophony of sounds made by the machines keeping her barely alive. Debbie [Reynolds], of course, was there as well. She told me that she'd been praying for more time. More time for Carrie, for herself and for Connie [Stevens]. I knew if those prayers weren't answered, Debbie might very well join her daughter."

So heartbreaking!

Carrie Fisher's passing has been so hard on so many people.

After she suffered a heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles, the actress passed away at the age of 60 — and just one day later her mother, Debbie Reynolds, passed away from a stroke.

While many have paid tribute to the Star Wars actress, we have to say that one of the most touching ones is Mark Hamill's beautifully written column about his former costar.

In writing about meeting the actress before they began filming, Mark revealed:

"You know, she was 19 years old at the time. I was a worldly 24. So I was thinking, "Oh my God, it'll be like working with a high school kid." But I was just bowled over. I mean she was just so instantly ingratiating and funny and outspoken. She had a way of just being so brutally candid. I'd just met her but it was like talking to a person you'd known for ten years."

What's even more beautiful than that is Mark is wonderfully honest about how real the relationship was — as it had its good and bad moments — but that the good definitely outweighed the bad:

Carrie Fisher's Autopsy Complete — But The Cause Of Death Is 'Not Obvious'

| Filed under: R.I.P.Sad SadHealthCarrie FisherStar Wars

Carrie Fisher was an amazing, blunt open book of a person; so strange then that her death should have any mystery at all to it.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office performed an autopsy Friday. After previous delays, they issued a death certificate and returned the Star Wars star's body to the family — to put her in her final resting place alongside mother Debbie Reynolds.

While that should be the end of it, the coroner is apparently NOT ready to reach a conclusion on cause of death.

Wasn't it cardiac arrest? Apparently there's more to it; officials tell TMZ the cause is "not obvious." They plan to run more tests in the coming days.

As is sometimes the case, the death certificate was issued quickly so as not to delay the funeral plans. But it may be a while before we have a full explanation for why we lost our Princess.
